Modern Phys. ; Beijing, GUCAS) et al.
The electromagnetic character of the $\Delta I=1$ transitions connecting the one- to zero-phonon and the two- to one-phonon wobbling bands should be dominated by an $E2$ component, due to the collective motion of the entire nuclear charge. In the present work it is shown, based on combined angular correlation and linear polarization measurements, that the mixing ratios of all analyzed connecting transitions between low-lying bands in $^{135}$Pr interpreted as zero-, one-, and two-phonon wobbling bands, have absolute values smaller than one. Phase-imaging ion-cyclotron-resonance technique has been implemented at the Penning-trap mass spectrometer JYFLTRAP and is routinely employed for mass measurements of stable and short-lived nuclides produced at IGISOL facility. Systematic uncertainties that impose limitations on the accuracy of measurements are discussed. [...]

Collectivity in the light radon nuclei measured directly via Coulomb excitation / Gaffney, L.P. (Leuven U. ; Liverpool U.) ; Robinson, A.P. (York U., England ; Manchester U.) ; Jenkins, D.G. (Cologne U.) ; Butler, P.A. (Liverpool U.) ; Cocolios, T.E. (CERN ; Manchester U.) et al.
Background: Shape coexistence in heavy nuclei poses a strong challenge to state-of-the-art nuclear models, where several competing shape minima are found close to the ground state. A classic region for investigating this phenomenon is in the region around $Z=82$ and the neutron mid-shell at $N=104$. [...]

The observation of vibrating pear-shapes in radon nuclei / Butler, P.A. (Liverpool U.) ; Gaffney, L.P. (Liverpool U. ; CERN) ; Spagnoletti, P. (West Scotland U.) ; Konki, J. (CERN) ; Scheck, M. (West Scotland U.) ; Smith, J.F. (West Scotland U.) ; Abrahams, K. (Western Cape U.) ; Bowry, M. (TRIUMF) ; Cederkäll, J. (Lund U.) ; Chupp, T. (Michigan U.) et al.
There is a large body of evidence that atomic nuclei can undergo octupole distortion and assume the shape of a pear. This phenomenon is important for measurements of electric-dipole moments of atoms, which would indicate CP violation and hence probe physics beyond the standard model of particle physics. [...]

Collinear laser spectroscopy was performed on the isomer of the aluminium isotope $^{26m}$Al. The measured isotope shift to $^{27}$Al in the $3s^{2}3p\;^{2}\!P^\circ_{3/2} \rightarrow 3s^{2}4s\;^{2}\!S_{1/2}$ atomic transition enabled the first experimental determination of the nuclear charge radius of $^{26m}$Al, resulting in $R_c$=\qty{3.130±.015}{\femto\meter}. High-precision mass measurements of exotic $^{95-97}$Ag isotopes close to the $N = Z$ line have been conducted with the JYFLTRAP double Penning trap mass spectrometer, with the silver ions produced using the recently commissioned inductively-heated hot cavity catcher laser ion source at the Ion Guide Isotope Separator On-Line facility. The atomic mass of $^{95}$Ag was directly determined for the first time. [...]
