Consolidation of Re-Triggering System of LHC Beam Dumping System at CERN / Magnin, Nicolas (CERN) ; Bartmann, Wolfgang (CERN) ; Bracco, Chiara (CERN) ; Carlier, Etienne (CERN) ; Gräwer, Gregor (CERN) ; Mottram, Timothy (CERN) ; Renner, Elisabeth (CERN) ; Rodziewicz, Janusz (CERN) ; Senaj, Viliam (CERN) ; Wiesner, Christoph (CERN)
The Trigger Synchronization and Distribution System (TSDS) is a core part of the LHC Beam Dump System (LBDS). It comprises redundant Re-Trigger Lines (RTLs) that allow fast re-triggering of all high-voltage pulsed generators in case one self-triggers, resulting in a so-called asynchronous dump. [...]

LHC Oxygen Run Preparation in the CERN Injector Complex / Slupecki, Maciej (CERN) ; Aguglia, Davide (CERN) ; Aguiar, Ygor (Universite Jean Monnet (FR)) ; Alemany Fernandez, Reyes (CERN) ; Argyropoulos, Theodoros (CERN) ; Barlow, Roger Andrew (CERN) ; Bartosik, Hannes (CERN) ; Bellodi, Giulia (CERN) ; Bilko, Kacper (Universite Jean Monnet (FR)) ; Borburgh, Jan (CERN) et al.
The Ion Accelerator Complex, composed of a linear accelerator (Linac3) and a chain of synchrotrons (Low Energy Ion Ring: LEIR, Proton Synchrotron: PS, Super Proton Synchrotron: SPS and the Large Hadron Collider: LHC) will operate oxygen ion beams for Oxygen–Oxygen (O–O) and proton–Oxygen (p–O) collisions in the LHC in Run 3. Prospects for an optical re-triggering system for the LHC beam dumping system at CERN / Rodziewicz, J (CERN) ; Carlier, E (CERN) ; Fowler, T (CERN) ; Goddard, B (CERN) ; Magnin, N (CERN) ; Rabot, O (Quantel Laser, Les Ulis)
The LHC (Large Hadron Collider) beam extraction kicker system, composed of 15 fast kicker magnets per beam, is used to extract the particles in one turn from the collider and to dispose of them, after dilution, on an external absorber. Each of the 15 magnets is powered by a separate pulse generator, all of which are simultaneously triggered when a beam extraction from the machine is requested. [...]

Consolidation of the Power Trigger Controllers of the LHC Beam Dumping System / Strobino, Léa (CERN) ; Magnin, Nicolas (CERN) ; Voumard, Nicolas (CERN)
The Power Trigger Controller (PTC) of the LHC Beam Dumping System (LBDS) is in charge of the control and supervision of the Power Trigger Units (PTU), which are used to trigger the conduction of the 50 High-Voltage Pulsed Generators (HVPG) of the LBDS kicker magnets. This card is integrated in an Industrial Control System (ICS) and has the double role of controlling the PTU operating mode and monitoring its status, and of supervising the LBDS triggering and re-triggering systems.
