Status of CLIC Magnets Studies and R / Modena, Michele (CERN) ; Aloev, Alexander (CERN) ; Solodko, Evgeny (CERN) ; Thonet, Pierre-Alexandre (CERN) ; Vorozhtsov, Alexey (CERN)
Since 2009 the CERN Magnet Group (CERN-TE-MSC) started R&D; activities in order to focalize the most challenging and interesting cases to be studied among the magnets needed for CLIC the Compact Linear Collider. In the last four years several theoretic studies, models and prototypes were realized mainly in two domains: magnets for the Modules, the modular elements that are composing the backbone of the two-beam linac structure of CLIC, and the Machine Detector Interface (MDI) including the Final Focus elements, and the anti-solenoid. [...]

The CERN-MEDICIS Isotope Separator Beamline / CERN-MEDICIS Collaboration
CERN-MEDICIS is an off-line isotope separator facility for the extraction of radioisotopes from irradiated targets of interest to medical applications. The beamline, between the ion source and the collection chamber, consists of ion extraction and focusing elements, and a dipole magnet mass spectrometer recovered from the LISOL facility in Louvain-la-Neuve. A magnetic spectrometer to measure electron bunches accelerated at AWAKE / AWAKE Collaboration
A magnetic spectrometer has been developed for the AWAKE experiment at CERN in order to measure the energy distribution of bunches of electrons accelerated in wakefields generated by proton bunches in plasma. AWAKE is a proof-of-principle experiment for proton-driven plasma wakefield acceleration, using proton bunches from the SPS. [...]

Status of the proton and electron transfer lines for the AWAKE Experiment at CERN / Schmidt, J S (CERN) ; Bauche, J (CERN) ; Biskup, B (CERN ; Prague, Tech. U.) ; Bracco, C (CERN) ; Doebert, S (CERN) ; Goddard, B (CERN) ; Gschwendtner, E (CERN) ; Jensen, L K (CERN) ; Jones, O R (CERN) ; Mazzoni, S (CERN) et al.
The AWAKE project at CERN is planned to study proton driven plasma wakefield acceleration with an externally injected electron beam. Therefore two transfer lines are being designed in order to provide the proton beam from the SPS and the electron beam from an RF gun to the plasma cell. [...]

Design of Normal-conducting Quadrupole Magnets for Linac4 at CERN / Vanherpe, L (CERN) ; Crettiez, O (CERN) ; Vorozhtsov, A (Dubna, JINR) ; Zickler, T (CERN)
Linac4 is the first element of the LHC Injectors Upgrade Project and will replace the existing Linac2 as linear injector of protons for the CERN accelerators. A new transfer line will link Linac4 to the Proton Synchrotron Booster (PSB). [...]

Performances of the Main Beam Quadrupole Type1 Prototypes for CLIC / Modena, M (CERN) ; Bartalesi, A (CERN) ; Garcia Perez, J (CERN) ; Leuxe, R (CERN) ; Perrin-Bonnet, G (CERN) ; Petrone, C (CERN) ; Struik, M (CERN) ; Vorozhtsov, A (CERN)
A critical magnet family for the future Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) is the Main Beam Quadrupole (MBQ) one. These magnets, placed along the two main linacs, will be actively stabilized in the nanometre range and are one of the key elements for reaching the outstanding nanometric dimensions and luminosity of the colliding beams.
