Detailed structure of Sn131 populated in the β decay of isomerically purified In131 states / IDS Collaboration
The excited structure of the single-hole nucleus Sn131 populated by the β− decay of In131 was investigated in detail at the ISOLDE facility at CERN. This new experiment took advantage of isomeric purification capabilities provided by resonant ionization, making it possible to independently study the decay of each isomer for the first time. [...]

On the nature of yrast states in neutron-rich polonium isotopes / IDS Collaboration
Polonium isotopes having two protons above the shell closure at $Z=82$ show a wide variety of low-lying high-spin isomeric states across the whole chain. [...]

Evidence of nonstatistical neutron emission following β decay near doubly magic Sn132 / IDS Collaboration
Models of the β-delayed neutron emission (βn) assume that neutrons are emitted statistically via an intermediate compound nucleus post β decay. Evidence to the contrary was found in an In134β-decay experiment carried out at ISOLDE CERN. [...]

$^{133}$In: A Rosetta Stone for decays of r-process nuclei / Xu, Z.Y. (U. Tennessee, Knoxville) ; Madurga, M. (U. Tennessee, Knoxville) ; Grzywacz, R. (U. Tennessee, Knoxville ; Oak Ridge) ; King, T.T. (U. Tennessee, Knoxville ; Oak Ridge) ; Algora, A. (Valencia U., IFIC ; Debrecen, Inst. Nucl. Res.) ; Andreyev, A.N. (York U., England ; JAERI, Tokai) ; Benito, J. (Madrid U.) ; Berry, T. (Surrey U.) ; Borge, M.J.G. (CSIC, Madrid) ; Costache, C. (Bucharest, IFIN-HH ; Leuven U.) et al.
The $\beta$ decays from both the ground state and a long-lived isomer of $^{133}$In were studied at the ISOLDE Decay Station (IDS). With a hybrid detection system sensitive to $\beta$, $\gamma$, and neutron spectroscopy, the comparative partial half-lives (logft) have been measured for all their dominant $\beta$-decay channels for the first time, including a low-energy Gamow-Teller transition and several First-Forbidden (FF) transitions. $\beta$-delayed neutron spectroscopy of $^{133}$In / Xu, Z.Y. (U. Tennessee, Knoxville) ; Madurga, M. (U. Tennessee, Knoxville) ; Grzywacz, R. (U. Tennessee, Knoxville ; Oak Ridge) ; King, T.T. (U. (Surrey U.) ; Borge, M.J.G. (Madrid, Inst. Estructura Materia) ; Costache, C. (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) et al.
The decay properties of $^{133}$In were studied in detail at the ISOLDE Decay Station (IDS). The implementation of the Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source (RILIS) allowed separate measurements of its $9/2^+$ ground state ($^{133g}$In) and $1/2^-$ isomer ($^{133m}$In). [...]

Search for isospin-symmetry breaking in the $A=62$ isovector triplet / Mihai, R E (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Mare, A S (Bucharest, IFIN-HH ; Bucharest U.) ; Mărginean, N (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Petrovici, A (Bucharest, IFIN-HH ; Bucharest U.) ; Andrei, O (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Boromiza, M (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Bucurescu, D (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Căta-Danil, G (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Clisu, C (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Costache, C (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) et al.
The assignment of the first $2^+$ state in $^{62}$Ga has long been debated, due to its implications in triplet energy difference systematics in this mass region. An experiment has been performed at the IFIN-HH 9-MV Tandem accelerator using the ROSPHERE array in a mixed configuration of LaBr$_3$(Ce) and HPGe detectors, as well as an additional array of liquid scintillator neutron detectors. Competition between Allowed and First-Forbidden $β$ Decay: The Case of $^{208}$Hg$→^{208}$Tl / Carroll, R J (Surrey U.) ; Podolyák, Zs (Surrey U. ; Darmstadt, GSI) ; Berry, T (Surrey U.) ; Grawe, H (Darmstadt, GSI) ; Alexander, T (Surrey U.) ; Andreyev, A N (York U., England ; JAEA, Ibaraki) ; Ansari, S (Cologne U.) ; Borge, M J G (CERN) ; Brunet, M (Surrey U.) ; Creswell, J R (Liverpool U.) et al.
The $β$ decay of $^{208}$Hg into the one-proton hole, one neutron-particle $^{208}_{81}$Tl$_{127}$ nucleus was investigated at CERN-ISOLDE. Shell-model calculations describe well the level scheme deduced, validating the proton-neutron interactions used, with implications for the whole of the N>126, Z<82 quadrant of neutron-rich nuclei. Detailed spectroscopy of doubly magic $^{132}$Sn / IS610 Collaboration
The structure of the doubly magic $^{132}_{50}$Sn$_{82}$ has been investigated at the ISOLDE facility at CERN, populated both by the $\beta^-$ decay of $^{132}$In and $\beta^-$-delayed neutron emission of $^{133}$In. The level scheme of $^{132}$Sn is greatly expanded with the addition of 68 $\gamma$ transitions and 17 levels observed for the first time in the $\beta$ decay. [...]

Octupole states in $^{207}$Tl studied through $β$ decay / Berry, T A (Surrey U.) ; Podolyák, Zs (Surrey U.) ; Carroll, R J (Surrey U.) ; Lică, R (CERN ; Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Brown, B A (Michigan State U.) ; Grawe, H (Darmstadt, GSI) ; Sotty, Ch (Bucharest, IFIN-HH ; Leuven U.) ; Timofeyuk, N K (Surrey U.) ; Alexander, T (Surrey U.) ; Andreyev, A N (York U., England) et al.
The $β$ decay of $^{207}$Hg into the single-proton-hole nucleus $^{207}$Tl has been studied through $γ$-ray spectroscopy at the ISOLDE Decay Station (IDS) with the aim of identifying states resulting from coupling of the $πs^{−1}_{1/2}, πd^{−1}_{3/2},$ and $πh^{−1}_{11/2}$ shell model orbitals to the collective octupole vibration. Twenty-two states were observed lying between 2.6 and 4.0 MeV, eleven of which were observed for the first time, and 78 new transitions were placed. [...]

Investigation of the $\Delta n = 0$ selection rule in Gamow-Teller transitions: The $\beta$-decay of $^{207}$Hg / Berry, T A (Surrey U.) ; Podolyák, Zs (Surrey U.) ; Carroll, R J (Surrey U.) ; Lică, R (CERN ; Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Grawe, H ; Timofeyuk, N K (Surrey U.) ; Alexander, T (Surrey U.) ; Andreyev, A N (York U., England) ; Ansari, S (Cologne U.) ; Borge, M J G (CERN ; Madrid, Inst. Estructura Materia) et al.
Gamow-Teller $\beta$ decay is forbidden if the number of nodes in the radial wave functions of the initial and final states is different. This $\Delta n=0$ requirement plays a major role in the $\beta$ decay of heavy neutron-rich nuclei, affecting the nucleosynthesis through the increased half-lives of nuclei on the astrophysical $r$-process pathway below both $Z=50$ (for $N>82$ ) and $Z=82$ (for $N>126$).
