Development of FPGA based phase alignment logic for the high speed protocol in HEP Experiments / Khan, Shuaib Ahmad (Calcutta, VECC) ; Mitra, Jubin (Calcutta, VECC ; Oxford U.) ; Nayak, Tapan K (CERN ; NISER, Jatni)
Experiments in high energy physics (HEP) operate at the forefront of detector technology, electronics, data acquisition (DAQ), data analysis, and computing. With the advent of high-energy accelerators running at large beam intensities, there is a great demand for radiation-hard high speed protocol for data transmission. [...]

Development of a High Speed Data Acquisition System for the Detectors at High Luminosity LHC / Khan, Shuaib Ahmad (Calcutta, VECC) ; Mitra, Jubin (Calcutta, VECC) ; K Nayak, Tapan (Calcutta, VECC)
In order to access exotic physics, the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is going for an increase in collision energy and the beam luminosity. The experiments at LHC are going for an upgrade of the detectors and readout as well as data acquisition system to cope up with the increase in the data volume. [...]

Multiplicity dependence of (anti-)deuteron production in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
In this letter, the production of deuterons and anti-deuterons in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 7$ TeV is studied as a function of the charged-particle multiplicity density at mid-rapidity with the ALICE detector at the LHC. Production yields are measured at mid-rapidity in five multiplicity classes and as a function of the deuteron transverse momentum ($p_{\rm{T}}$). [...]

Optimization of multi-gigabit transceivers for high speed data communication links in HEP Experiments / Khan, Shuaib Ahmad (HBNI, Mumbai) ; Mitra, Jubin (HBNI, Mumbai) ; Das, Tushar Kanti (HBNI, Mumbai) ; Nayak, Tapan K. (CERN)
The scheme of the data acquisition (DAQ) architecture in High Energy Physics (HEP) experiments consist of data transport from the front-end electronics (FEE) of the online detectors to the readout units (RU), which perform online processing of the data, and then to the data storage for offline analysis. With major upgrades of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiments at CERN, the data transmission rates in the DAQ systems are expected to reach a few TB/sec within the next few years. [...]

Real-time data processing in the ALICE High Level Trigger at the LHC / ALICE Collaboration
At the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, atomic nuclei are collided at ultra-relativistic energies. Many final-state particles are produced in each collision and their properties are measured by the ALICE detector. [...]

Event-shape and multiplicity dependence of freeze-out radii in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
Two-particle correlations in high-energy collision experiments enable the extraction of particle source radii by using the Bose-Einstein enhancement of pion production at low relative momentum $q\propto 1/R$. It was previously observed that in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV the average pair transverse momentum $k_{\rm{T}}$ range of such analyses is limited due to large background correlations which were attributed to mini-jet phenomena. [...]

Study of J/$\psi$ azimuthal anisotropy at forward rapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
The second ($v_2$) and third ($v_3$) flow harmonic coefficients of J/$\psi$ mesons are measured at forward rapidity (2.5 $<$ $y$ $<$ 4.0) in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC. Results are obtained with the scalar product method and reported as a function of transverse momentum, $p_{\rm{T}}$, for various collision centralities. [...]

Charged-particle pseudorapidity density at mid-rapidity in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}}$ = 8.16 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
The pseudorapidity density of charged particles, $\rm{d}\it{N}_\rm{ch}/\rm{d}\it{\eta}$, in p-Pb collisions has been measured at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon-nucleon pair of $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}}$ = 8.16 TeV at mid-pseudorapidity for non-single-diffractive events. The results cover 3.6 units of pseudorapidity, $|\eta|<1.8$. [...]

Jet fragmentation transverse momentum measurements from di-hadron correlations in $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV pp and $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}}$ = 5.02 TeV p-Pb collisions / ALICE Collaboration
The transverse structure of jets was studied via jet fragmentation transverse momentum ($j_{\rm{T}}$) distributions, obtained using two-particle correlations in proton-proton and proton-lead collisions, measured with the ALICE experiment at the LHC. The highest transverse momentum particle in each event is used as the trigger particle and the region $3 < p_{\rm{Tt}} < 15$ GeV/$c$ is explored in this study. [...]
