Crab Cavities for ILC / McIntosh, Peter (Daresbury ; Cockcroft Inst. Accel. Sci. Tech.) ; Belomestnykh, Sergey (Fermilab) ; Burt, Graeme (Lancaster U. ; Cockcroft Inst. Accel. Sci. Tech.) ; Calaga, Rama (CERN) ; De Silva, Subashini (Jefferson Lab ; Old Dominion U. For the 14 mrad crossing angle proposed, crab cavity systems are fundamentally anticipated for the viable operation of the International Linear Collider (ILC), in order to maximise its luminosity performance. Since 2021, a specialist development team have been defining optimum crab cavity technologies which can fulfil the operational requirements for ILC, both for its baseline centre-of-mass energy of 250 GeV, but also extending those requirements out to higher beam collision intensities. Conceptual design of a high reactive-power ferroelectric fast reactive tuner / Ben-Zvi, Ilan (SUNY, Stony Brook) ; Burt, Graeme (Lancaster U.) ; Castilla, Alejandro (Jefferson Lab) ; Macpherson, Alick (CERN) ; Shipman, Nicholas (CERN)
We present a novel design of a ferroelectric fast reactive tuner (FE-FRT) capable of modulating mega-VAR reactive power on a submicrosecond timescale. The high reactive power capability of our design extends the range of applications of reactive tuners to numerous applications. [...]

Transverse deflecting cavities / Burt, Graeme (speaker)
Many applications require RF cavities that deflect the beam transversely, where the field needs to vary faster than can be achieved using magnets. This lecture studies dipole modes used for these applications and uses Panofsky-Wenzel theorem to look at transverse voltages, beam loading and mode requirements. [...]

Power Coupling + Matching / Burt, Graeme (speaker)
In order to maximise the power delivered to the cavity we must minimise reflections. Reflections are minimised when the source and load impedances are equal, however this is difficult when the cavity impedance is orders of magnitude higher than the source. [...]

KlyC expansion: Traveling wave module in Klystron simulation code / Cai, Jinchi (UESTC, Chengdu) ; Li, Wei (UESTC, Chengdu) ; Su, Zixuan (UESTC, Chengdu) ; Xu, Jin (UESTC, Chengdu) ; Yue, Linna (UESTC, Chengdu) ; Yin, Hairong (UESTC, Chengdu) ; Yin, Pengcheng (UESTC, Chengdu) ; Zhao, Guoqing (UESTC, Chengdu) ; Wang, Wenxiang (UESTC, Chengdu) ; Wei, Yanyu (UESTC, Chengdu) et al.
Since Klystron simulation code KlyC was released in 2017, it has been used for the design of series of high efficiency (HE) Klystron projects. Lots of new features such as coupling mode analysis, monotron diagnosis and complete small signal theory have been implemented into KlyC to facilitate sophisticated Klystron design. [...]

Towards a Muon Collider / Accettura, Carlotta (CERN) ; Adams, Dean (Rutherford) ; Agarwal, Rohit (UC, Berkeley (main)) ; Ahdida, Claudia (CERN) ; Aimè, Chiara (Pavia U. ; INFN, Pavia) ; Amapane, Nicola (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) ; Amorim, David (CERN) ; Andreetto, Paolo (INFN, Padua) ; Anulli, Fabio (INFN, Rome) ; Appleby, Robert (Manchester U.) et al.
A muon collider would enable the big jump ahead in energy reach that is needed for a fruitful exploration of fundamental interactions. The challenges of producing muon collisions at high luminosity and 10 TeV centre of mass energy are being investigated by the recently-formed International Muon Collider Collaboration. [...]

High-Power Test of Two Prototype X-Band Accelerating Structures Based on SwissFEL Fabrication Technology / Millar, William L (CERN) ; Grudiev, Alexej (CERN) ; Wuensch, Walter (CERN) ; Lasheras, Nuria Catalan (CERN) ; McMonagle, Gerard (CERN) ; Zennaro, Riccardo (PSI, Villigen) ; Craievich, Paolo (PSI, Villigen) ; Bopp, Markus (PSI, Villigen) ; Lucas, Thomas G (PSI, Villigen) ; Volpi, Matteo (CERN ; Melbourne U.) et al.
This article presents the design, construction, and high-power test of two X -band radio frequency (RF) accelerating structures built as part of a collaboration between CERN and the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) for the compact linear collider (CLIC) study. The structures are a modified “tuning-free” variant of an existing CERN design and were assembled using Swiss free electron laser (SwissFEL) production methods. [...]

Superconducting (SC) thin film coatings on Cu substrates are already widely used as an alternative to bulk Nb SRF structures. Using Cu allows improved thermal stability compared to Nb due to having a greater thermal conductivity. [...]
