ALICE upgrades during the LHC Long Shutdown 2 / ALICE Collaboration
A Large Ion Collider Experiment (ALICE) has been conceived and constructed as a heavy-ion experiment at the LHC. During LHC Runs 1 and 2, it has produced a wide range of physics results using all collision systems available at the LHC. [...]

New C$_{6}$D$_{6}$ detectors: reduced neutron sensitivity and improved safety / Mastinu, Pierfrancesco (INFN (IT)) ; Baccomi, Roberto (INFN (IT)) ; Berthoumieux, Eric (CERN (CH)) ; Cano-Ott, Daniel (CIEMAT (ES)) ; Gramegna, F (INFN (IT)) ; Guerrero, Carlos (CERN (CH)) ; Massimi, Cristian (INFN (IT)) ; Milazzo, Paolo Maria (INFN (IT)) ; Mingrone, Federica (INFN (IT)) ; Praena, Javier (Universidad de Sevilla (ES)) et al.
During the 2011 data measurement campaign at n_TOF, the liquid scintillator detectors developed at FZK-Karlsruhe (hereafter named K6D6, [1]) and used with success along 10 years have shown ageing problems, mainly related to liquid leakage. The mould used to produce the carbon fiber structure, containing the liquid and the detection elements, was not available anymore and the technician involved in its construction was retired [...]
