With an 80’s retro theme, this fast-paced game has superb neon colors and a brilliant synthesizer soundtrack.
It benefits from the SuperStaxx feature…
...which is available in both the base game and Free Spins feature – every reel has an adjacent position that is randomly replaced with 1 symbol for each spin giving you the chance to earn plenty of stacked symbols and hopefully big wins.

Theme
Step into a futuristic city of skyscrapers that are bathed in the hues of neon pink and neon blue and beware of the predators that roam this city as there are genetically evolved lions, tigers, birds and snakes. The good news is…
... that finding these predators can win you some serious prizes.
You’ll find that this game has a completely retro 80s type of theme to it, right down to the electronic sounding piece of music playing in the background as you spin the reels.
Actually, that’s one of the main reasons that we like it so much.
However
That’s not the only great thing about this game, because you’ll also find that the reels are designed in a slightly different way to a standard video slot product. If things look a little bit slanted, that’s because they are.
Neon Staxx’s reels are sloped backward to create a bit more of a unique look to the game, and this provides it with one of its innovative features. The reels themselves are played against a backdrop of what appears to be a computer-generated land, with an almost ‘Tron’ feel to it, which highlights the 80s feel even more.
You’ll certainly get plenty of hours of fun and entertainment out of this one, and that’s even before you’re able to experience its special features!
Betting Options
This non-progressive game has a set 20 lines to play on each spin, but there are 60 different levels and bet-value combinations so that slot players of a variety of standards, experiences and budgets can enjoy playing it.
Simply...
...choose to play 1 to 10 levels on each spin, then give them a bet-value of between 0.01 and 0.5. This allows a minimum bet of 0.2 coins per spin, and a maximum bet of 100 coins a spin.
Be on alert the moment that you enter the city as paytable symbols are likely to be thrown at you quickly including letter symbols and the Predator symbols. Pick up three to five matching letter symbols to win between 4 and 25 coins, whilst snakes pay up to 40 coins, eagles up to 50 coins, tigers up to 75 coins, and lions up to 100 coins.
In Addition…
...keep an eye out for the game’s two bonus symbols which are the Wild Symbol and a Scatter Symbol. The Wild Symbol serves two functions as it can award instant wins when multiple symbols appear on a played line with 3 symbols paying 15 coins, 4 symbols paying 30 coins, and 5 symbols paying 200 coins.
Wilds also have the power to substitute for all other symbols except the Scatter Symbol to award a variety of paytable prizes.
The Scatter Symbols trigger the Free Spins Bonus. Good for us!
Special Features
There is also a Free Spins feature which is triggered when you get 3 or more scatter symbols (a triangle) anywhere on the reels.
Three will give you 10 free spins, 4 will give you 15 free spins…
...and 5 will grant you 20 free spins.
Now...
...only the Predator or Wild symbols will be selected as the stacked symbol in the feature which can really help. The downside is that you cannot trigger more free spins.
Our Take
Neon Staxx looks and sounds great, but with a jackpot of only 80,000 coins (not particularly high by NetEnt's standards).Of course, these things are always a matter of personal taste - if you love '80s culture, whether or not you lived it the first time around, then it's very likely you'll enjoy Neon Staxx. And there's no denying that the game's unique lay
