Gone Clubbing started its journey as part of a commercial shoot with a furniture company. I then painted skiers on the canvas before deciding to switch up my initial idea by painting green all over the white texture. The green, however, was too overwhelming and as such I added the sandy coloured stroke along with a lighter green stroke to make this artwork look like a golf course. Size matters… That’s why I decided to make my largest artwork last year when I painted ‘Snowflakes’. Working on a piece that is bigger than I am required a lot of paint; 10 litres to be exact. It also required a lot of patience to paint each of the 61 figures but the result was nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait to make another painting this size. Perhaps even bigger!
