Not that many photos of quolls in the wild, so I figured I may as well upload one of this big guy. This was taken on the airstrip of Melaleuca in the far SW Tasmanian wilderness. I stumbled across him as he was ambling along, and even though this was the first time I had seen a Spot-tailed Quoll, I knew he was quite a big individual. We had seen the Eastern Quoll earlier in the trip and this guy was more than double the size of its relative. He was not at all afraid of me either.
