The Starfleet Marine Corps, or simply the Starfleet Marines, are the infantry forces of the Federation's Starfleet. Unlike the rest of Starfleet's service personnel, who used a naval ranking structure, the Marines use a rank structure based on equivalents of Earth infantry-based militaries, such as the MACOs. I felt compelled to pound out a rough diagram of the U.S.S. Archer based off the scant views we get of her in the pilot for "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds." The 'Notes' and 'Specifications' sections are head-cannon based on my best conjecture as to the size and purpose of the vessel.
