Happy Earth Day! To celebrate we are recalling one of our favorite “earth-covered” projects. The New School University Center in the heart of Manhattan designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) was completed in 2014 with a true commitment to conscious environmental impact.

Parsons The New School For Design is New York's leading art and design educational institution. Founded in 1896, Parsons has produced outstanding artists, designers and businesspeople including Norman Rockwell, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan and Tom Ford. Parsons campus is spread throughout the city. Pascale Gatzen, professor at Parsons The New School for Design, is facilitating a research workshop with the students of the Master des Métiers de la Mode et du Textile of the Aix Marseille University. This research group formed by the students contributes to the detection and definition of new, innovative and viable business models for the apparel and textile industry. Students coming from other universities and the mentoring program participants are invited to join this workshop.
