When I was photographing the cherry blossoms in Japan, I came across the most beautiful flowering quince I have ever seen. The bush was covered in flowers varying in color from pure white to blush to deep pink. This painting captures the beauty of these Japanese flowers with thick, expressive brush strokes of luscious oil paint.
