I like to think of finishing the raw edges of a quilt – to be a little like adding the ribbon to a package wrapped with pretty paper – or the frame on a painting. The project is still pretty – but finishing the raw edges make it complete. Finishing the edges of my quilt is an important part of the quilting process – and I have to confess – it may be my favorite part. There’s more than one way to finish the edges of our quilt.
