Last week's look inside an Amish home drew quite a few comments, here on the website and on our Facebook page. Some of you felt the home was beautiful. One commenter "love[d] the simplicity." Others felt the home looked "a little fancy for Amish". It made me realize we all have different ideas of what an Amish home

This Amish home has a very rustic, old-timey look. Seymour is a plain settlement where many homes have a distinctive shingle-siding plain look to them. I’ve seen numerous photos of the exteriors of Seymour homes, but I’ve never seen inside one of these plain Amish abodes. Check this out!

Reader Jerry brought to my attention a silent auction concluding today in Millersburg, PA, of an Amish-owned organic dairy farm. Today a closer look at another of the seven Amish homes for sale in Fleming County, Kentucky. This little Amish starter is by far the smallest of the bunch, at just two bedrooms and 768 square feet. It actually looks more like a small shop from this angle which I shared in the original post.
