Actually in the book they use Mountain Dew Code: Red instead of Mountain Dew Red, the one that was discontinued in the 90's

Mountain Dew Code Red is cherry mtn dew. I mean, you hear code red and you think it's something like cinnamon, but no, it's cherry and your like 'well'. I can't say I dislike this and I can't say it was great. I'm not going to miss it when it's gone.
