These long-tube headers were designed to fit Hemi-powered Plymouth Superbird and Dodge Daytona NASCAR race cars. They were manufactured by Stahl Engineering of York, Pennsylvania circa 1970 and were acquired by the seller in 2015. These NASCAR race headers are now offered at no reserve in Pennsylvania with their Stahl-branded shipping box.

The seller reports that approximately twenty sets of these headers were ordered by Chrysler and the first two were sent directly to Richard Petty for use on his 1970 Plymouth Superbird race car. This pair was reportedly retained by Jere Stahl and stored at the Stahl Engineering facilities until the company ceased operations.

Construction is of steel tubing painted silver, and total weight is approximately 50 pounds.

The cardboard shipping box features the printed Stahl Headers logo, handwritten numbers, a “Hemi” notation, and the dates January 16, 1970 and January 29, 1970. The box measures approximately 24″ wide, 54″ tall, and 24″ deep.
