'Animal's' in the Bible

Who really knows if the human spirit ascends upward, and the animal's spirit descends into the earth?

No human foot will pass through it, and no animal's foot will pass through it; it will be uninhabited for forty years.

Let his mind be altered from that of a human being, and let an animal's mind be given to him, and let seven periods of time go by for him.
