Altar to Shar

The Altar to Shar is an environmental object in the Gauntlet of Shar that the party can attempt to pray to receive the  Nightsinger's Favour.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

If interacted with, the each party member can attempt to pray at it by passing a Religion check. To receive the buff, the interacting party must attempt one of the options below:

• [SHADOWHEART] Offer prayer and devotion to the Dark Lady.
  • [SHADOWHEART] [RELIGION] Silently swear your body and soul to Shar. Give yourself over entirely. (DC 14 )
• [EVIL CLERIC] Shar is not your mistress, but she is worthy of respect. Offer her a prayer.
• [CLERIC OF SELÛNE] [PALADIN OF SELÛNE] Selûne's rival, but also her sister. Offer a prayer of reconciliation.
• [RELIGION] Pray at the altar. (DC 14)
• [WARLOCK] [DECEPTION] Feign a prayer while your patron thieves the altar's magic. (DC 14) (if not Shadowheart)

All other options, including being a Cleric or Paladin of Selûne, failing the ability check, or abandon Shar as Shadowheart grant the  Shar-Stricken debuff instead.
