The aim of this work was to evaluate, by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electron dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), the different irrigation protocols concerning the formation of chemical smear layer (CSL). Fifty-five teeth were instrumented by using distilled water (DW) as irrigant. Next, the teeth were submitted to a protocol for removal of the mechanical smear layer produced. The teeth were divided into 11 groups, according to irrigation regimen.

Objective: The study was done to evaluate the average time taken by the operators to apply the rubber dam, procedure time and the acceptability or rejection of placement of rubber dam by the patients during endodontic treatment procedures. Design: The study was carried out on 450 patients requiring endodontic treatment reported at department during the time interval of May, 2021 to August, 2021. Out of 450 patients, 180 patients were randomly selected for the study by lottery method. All the endodontic procedures were performed under rubber dam isolation and rubber dam application time and time for isolation was determined. Further, a questionnaire survey was performed to evaluate the patient’s acceptance or rejection of procedures rubber dam and various reasons for rejection. Introduction: The purpose of the root canal obturation is to provide a hermetic seal, that inhibits the microleakage and canal reinfection, thus the health of the periapical tissues can be preserved. It has been observed that the sealer used during endodontic therapy has a direct link with the longevity of the treatment and the occurrence of postoperative pain. Aim: The goal of the present study was to assess microleakage in extracted teeth of four separate endodontic sealers (AH Plus, Sealapex, MTA Fillapex, and Ceraseal) using the dye penetration method. Aim: To compare the effect of four different endodontic sealers (AH Plus, Sealapex, MTA Fillapex and Ceraseal) on endodontic post-operative pain. Patients (n=70) reporting with pain and diagnosed with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis in single rooted teeth with single Methodology: canal conguration were randomly divided into ve groups according to the sealer used (n=14). All patients received a single-visit root canal treatment. After the treatment, postoperative pain scores and analgesic intake were recorded at 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours using Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and the data were statistically analyzed. Intensity of pain decreased as follow-up time increased i.e. from 6 to 48 hours. The Results: maximum post-operative pain was seen in AH Plus sealer (Group-I) and least in Ceraseal (Group-IV) with maximum decline in pain levels after 24 hours (p-value=0.043). Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the accuracy of Root ZX in determining working length in presence of 2% chlorhexidine and 5% sodium hypochlorite. Material and Methods: Thirty extracted, single rooted, single canal human teeth were used. Teeth were decoronated at CEJ and actual canal length determined. Then working length measurements were obtained with Root ZX in presence of 2% chlorhexidine and 5% NaOCl. The working length obtained with Root ZX were compared with actual canal length and subjected to statistical analysis. Results: No statistical significant difference was found between actual canal length and Root ZX measurements in presence of 2% chlorhexidine. Highly statistical difference was found between actual canal length and Root ZX measurements in presence of 5% of NaOCl, however all the measurements were within the clinically acceptable range of ±0.5mm. Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the incidence of post-operative pain after cleaning and shaping with three file system using Hand, Rotary and Reciprocating motion in maxillary and mandibular molars. Materials and Method: A total 60 patients were randomly divided into 3 groups: in group 1 (n=20) teeth were prepared with hand protaper file system till F2 size. In group 2 (n=20) teeth were prepared with primary wave one gold and in group 3(n= 20) teeth were prepared with protaper gold file system till F2 size. The pre and post-operative pain score was noted using visual analog scale at 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours after preparation. Results: all the pre instrumentation pain values were higher than post-instrumentation.
