Phillip Forman
Phillip Forman (1895-1978) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Judicial career
Third Circuit
Forman was nominated to the Third Circuit by President Dwight Eisenhower on February 9, 1959 to replace Albert Branson Maris. He was confirmed by the Senate on September 9th, and received commission on September 10, 1959. On March 31, 1961, he assumed senior status and continued to serve in this capacity until his death on August 17, 1978.[1]
District of New Jersey
Forman was nominated to the District of New Jersey by President Herbert Hoover on June 11, 1932 to replace William Nelson Runyon. He was confirmed by the Senate on June 23rd, and received commission on June 25th. From 1951 to 1959, he was the chief judge. He served on this court until September 20, 1959, when he was appointed to the Third Circuit. Forman was succeeded in this position by Arthur Lane.
