Biography
Peter Eckerstrom received his B.A. from Yale University, graduating magna cum laude in 1982, and his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1986. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1986 and the Arizona Bar in 1988.[1] Eckerstrom began his legal career as an assistant public defender in Pima County, Arizona. He left the public defender's office in 1994 for private practice, primarily in the area of criminal defense with emphasis on capital trials and appellate litigation. He remained in private practice until his judicial appointment in 2003.[1]
