Throughout my campaign, I have gone driveway to driveway - meeting the voters of Scarborough Coastal District 29.

I have listened and learned from you about how I could best serve your interests in the Maine House of Representatives.
These conversations have made me more confident than ever that Scarborough deserves a new voice, a positive outlook, and collaborative leadership to address the important issues we face - whether it's our economic recovery from COVID-19, protecting our environment from the threat of climate change, or ensuring access to good healthcare for all human beings in Maine.
My commitment to you is that no one will work harder on your behalf. I appreciate your consideration for State Representative.

Residents of Scarborough Coastal District 29 say why they're voting for Sophie:

- Stephen Truncellito, Teacher - "Sophie will listen to members of both Republican and Democrat parties. She is truly independent!"

- Nancy Curran, Retired Teacher - "Sophie graduated from Brandeis, worked with youth in Jerusalem, and interned with Sen. Angus King in Washington. She has experienced a great deal in her 25 years."

- Michelle Thorpe Hayes, Non-Profit Leader - "Our politicians should listen, and be responsive to their constituents. This is Sophie to a T."

  • I am a Scarborough native who cares deeply about my hometown. I believe I would do a great job representing us in Augusta. I am a graduate of Brandeis University, and interned in Washington, D.C. for U.S. Senator Angus King. I try to mirror his independently-minded, collaborative and humanistic approach to public service.
  • In Augusta, I will work hard to help us find our way out of the Coronavirus pandemic, prioritizing both our public health and economic recovery. I am passionate about Scarborough's beautiful natural resources and the need all Mainers have for good healthcare.
  • I will be the collaborative leader Scarborough deserves - committed to listening to and learning from my constituents, and my public servant peers. As I seek public office, I'm guided by lessons of compassion and connection, which I have learned through my public service and conflict resolution experiences while working in the Middle East, at The Hague, and in Washington, D.C.

As your state representative, I will focus on issues impacting the state of Maine: whether it's our economic recovery from COVID-19, protecting our environment - Scarborough's beaches, clean air, and water - from the existential threat of climate change, or ensuring access to good healthcare for all human beings in Maine.

In Augusta, I will work hard to help us find our way out of the Coronavirus pandemic, prioritizing both our public health and economic recovery. I am passionate about Scarborough's beautiful natural resources and the need all Mainers have for good healthcare.

In this general election, I hope you will vote for me, Sophie Warren, for the Maine House of Representatives, Scarborough Coastal District 29. Thank you for your consideration.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Maine

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
