John Albert Nordberg was an Article III federal judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He joined the court in 1982 after being nominated by President Ronald Reagan (R). Nordberg assumed senior status on June 18, 1994, and ended his service when he died on March 12, 2021.

Nordberg graduated from Carleton College and later graduated from the University of Michigan law school in 1950.[1]

Judicial career

Northern District of Illinois

On the recommendation of former U.S. Senator Charles Percy, Nordberg was nominated to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois by President Ronald Reagan (R) on March 11, 1982, to a seat vacated by Bernard Decker. Nordberg was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on April 20, 1982, and received commission on April 21, 1982. Nordberg assumed senior status on June 18, 1994. His service ended when he died on March 12, 2021.[1]
