Biography
Joe Dalia was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated from Coronado High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Boston University in 2013 and a law degree from University of Michigan Law School in 2017. His career experience includes working as an attorney.[1]

I am a privacy, technology, and AI attorney with Silicon Valley experience, a former small business owner, a first-generation college student, and a proud father of 3 daughters. I grew up in a working-class union family in Henderson, Nevada. My mother is a health care worker and my father was a Navy veteran who primarily worked as a poker dealer while I was growing up. Before beginning my legal career, I graduated with high honors from both Boston University (Political Science & Economics) and the University of Michigan Law School. I grew up in Assembly DIstrict 29 and am now raising my kids about a mile from my childhood apartment. I’m running to serve the Henderson community that raised me, and to build a better future for my girls.
- I believe building a stronger public education system is critical to the future of our state. As a first-generation college student from a working-class family, I can attest to the transformational power of an education. I am committed to giving every kid the same opportunity I had growing up.
- I am committed to diversifying and growing Nevada’s economy. Our reliance on tourism puts our economy in a precarious position when tough times hit. I will fight to ensure we are a competitive landing spot for new businesses and industries that will bring durable, high-paying jobs to our community.
- I will always protect civil liberties, including a woman’s right to choose. There is no right more fundamental than the right to bodily autonomy, and as a father of three young girls, I will never compromise on protecting their rights and access to reproductive healthcare.

I’d like to leave my community and my state better than I found them, and I’d like my kids to be proud of their dad for the work I did.
My first job was as a food service worker at Dairy Queen during high school.
One of the greatest challenges will be the economic impacts of AI and automation. As AI tools rapidly develop, businesses will be able to achieve the same productivity with leaner staffing. Many jobs could be permanently eliminated. It will be incumbent upon us as state leaders to ensure we’re bringing new opportunities to workers that are displaced, giving them access to training resources to increase their qualifications, and establishing a sufficient safety net to keep folks afloat.
