Daniel Kiley is a judge for Division One of the Arizona Court of Appeals. He assumed office on January 18, 2023. His current term ends on January 2, 2027.

Kiley ran for re-election for judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He won in the retention election on November 3, 2020.

Kiley was appointed to the Superior Court by Gov. Jan Brewer (R) on April 30, 2010, effective June 2010. He was appointed to the Arizona Court of Appeals on January 18, 2023 by Gov. Doug Ducey (R).[1]

Biography

Kiley received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 1985 and his J.D. from Arizona State University College of Law. Prior to his judicial appointment, he worked in the following roles:[2]

  • 2009-2010: Attorney, Sherman & Howard L.L.C.
  • 2002-2010: Judge pro tempore, Maricopa County Superior Court
  • 1997-2009: Attorney, Mohr, Hackett, Pederson, Blakley & Randolph P.C.
  • 1988-1997: Assistant attorney general, Arizona Attorney General's Office[2]
