Benjamin Cornwell Dawkins, Sr. (1881-1966) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.

Dawkins was nominated to the Western District of Louisiana by President Calvin Coolidge on April 25, 1924, to a seat vacated by George W. Jack; he was confirmed by the Senate on May 5, 1924, and received commission that same day. From 1948-1953, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on May 17, 1953. He served the Western District of Louisiana until his death on August 22, 1966.[1] Dawkins was succeeded in this position by his son, Benjamin Dawkins, Jr..
