The 5" reinforced concrete roof was poured yesterday. This view from the second story window looking down gives a different perspective on the root cellar. The ventilation pipe projecting from the roof is the same type of 6" terra cotta pipe used lower on the walls for air intake. This will be blocked off in extreme weather and opened when needed to prevent mold and mildew from growing inside.
