Opportunities

Students and university staff can benefit from a variety of opportunities offered by the ATHENA Alliance.

One of them are summer schools as well as blended intensive programmes for students and university staff – short, intensive programmes that use innovative ways of learning and teaching, including the use of online cooperation.  

Master and doctoral level students are invited to submit their works presenting new aspects and/or preliminary results that, upon revision by the editors and the members of the Editorial Board, will be published in the ATHENA Research Book.

Apart from that, PhD students from the member universities have the opportunity to perform a one-month research stay at University of Siegen.

Students and academic staff as well as audiences from outside the Alliance can join the weekly ATHENA Talks sessions – an open platform for sharing research trends.

For enterprises, ATHENA organises networking events to bring together business representatives and researchers. These events serve to deepen existing partnerships and to establish new contacts.

To add, ATHENA offers continuing education for individuals as well as in-house training for companies.
