Pat Tillman continues to be remembered in the hearts of anyone that knew him personally, and anyone that saw him play on the field. Tillman is also remembered through the Pat Tillman Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that provides resources and educational scholarship support to veterans.

The Pat Tillman Foundation will hold its 8th annual Pat's Run on April 21, 2012. Pat's Run draws about 35,000 participants, volunteers and spectators from across the country. It is fitting that registration for the race begins this Friday November 11 on Veterans Day, Tillman served as an Army Ranger from 2002-2004 and was killed in action on April 22, 2004.

Money raised by the race has helped numerous students achieve their goal of going to college. The Pat Tillman Foundation has invested 2.2 million dollars in financial support to students. The third class of Tillman Military Scholars were chosen this past summer and were awarded at total of 916,000 in scholarships.

Early entry for the race begins Friday and runs through February 29. The fee for early entry is $35, after March 1 the price increases to $42 (Pat Tillman's number at Arizona State). The race week fee is $50 for adults. Children's fee is $5 early entry and $10 race week. You can register online here.

The adult run is 4.2 mile course that runs through the streets of Tempe, finishing in Sun Devil Stadium at the 42-yard line. The start line is located on the East side of the stadium on Packard Drive. The kids run, for children 12 and under, is .42 miles and also finishes on the 42-yard line.

The adult run is scheduled to begin at 7:05 AM with the children's race starting at 9:30 AM on April 21. We hope to see you out there.
