Levi POV
I’m startled from my sleep by a small kick, followed by a fling elbow.
“Eren?” I say, squinting in the dark, trying to make out my mate’s face.
I run my fingers through his hair and he jerks away.
“N-no” Eren mumbles in his sleep, still thrashing his head.
“Eren?” No response.
I sit up waiting for him to throw a punch at me or kick me off the bed.
“Eren! I need you to wake up now!” I plead, as his cries get louder.
He’s still crying and whimpering at something in his dreams. I get up and turn the bedside lamp on. When I come back to the bed, Eren has stopped thrashing around but still whimpers quietly. Out of nowhere he gasps out and shoots out of bed.
“No!” He yells, seemingly at nobody.

Once Eren has fallen back asleep, I cradle his head in one arm and caress his stomach with my other hand.
“I will protect you from anyone or anything that might hurt you or our baby. I swear on my life.” I whisper, leaning down to kiss his forehead.
He must have heard me subconsciously, as he shoves his whole body backwards so we’re laying pretty much on top of each other.
