Chapter Text
”Nam-Gyu!”
a voice called over, as Nam-Gyu shifted in the direction of the voice, his eyes coming in contact with a pair of brighter eyes.
“Gyeong-Su,” he said a few moments after, watching closely as the other made it over to where he stood.
”Hi Gyeong-Su.” A more stern voice interrupted, as Nam-Gyu tilted his head to catch Se-Mi and Min-Su both with the corner of his eye.
the shorter male was sort of hiding behind the girl, his hand intertwined with her’s as she stood with her free hand resting against her hip, she wore a pair of sun glasses which matched her piercing.
Gyeong-Su only smiled and waved towards the others, before returning his gaze back to Nam-Gyu’s.
“When’d you two get here?” He asked a narrow glance following.
Se-Mi only smiled and adjusted the hand against her hip, “not too long ago, speaking of getting here…” she paused her gaze looking over at the small group, as if head counting.
”where’s Thanos?” She finally asked as Nam-Gyu just scoffed and crossed his arms.
”probably signing some fan stuff,” he said a annoyed sigh finishing his thoughts as he heard Gyeong-Su shift closer.
“Anyway what’s up with Min-Su?” Nam-Gyu asked pointing a finger towards Min-Su which made him flinch a bit, it’s almost laughable how much Min-Su would flinch at just Nam-Gyu’s gaze alone.
Se-Mi only sent him an ugly look after that before opening her mouth, “Nothing.” She said with a tenser tone that Nam-Gyu couldn’t care less about.
Gyeong-Su noticing the upcoming insults and tension just smiled awkwardly, “Ok! Let’s get going to that Café huh?” He gleamed trying to stir the fire away.
”yeah, we should.” Min-Su’s quieter voice agreed, which made Nam-Gyu just tilt a look at him, dropping his hand back to cross his chest.
He watched Min-Su scrunch up at the look, and Nam-Gyu just wanted to laugh at the other, but stopped himself when he watched Se-Mi send him a glare while squeezing Min-Su’s hand more. Nam-Gyu only set his hands up in a mock surrender before dropping them again with a gentle sigh leaving his lips, he was not going to ruin the afternoon by nitpicking Min-Su apart.
”where’s it again?” Se-Mi finally asked, her head tilting softly in Min-Su’s direction where he just gently smiled and moved to pull his phone out his pocket, his hands and eyes scanning his screen as he typed something up.
”should be down the street” he said moving his attention from his phone.
“Then let’s go!” Gyeong-Su beamed, his bright smile becoming overwhelming as Nam-Gyu just pinched his nose bridge lightly.
Se-Mi seemed to notice as she sent him a look that Nam-Gyu ignored, cause he knows she gets his feelings more than anyone. Even if he doesn’t want her too.
but she didn’t push as she let Min-Su basically drag her off, even though all of them know Min-Su is too timid to do that.
Gyeong-Su only watched them slightly as he turned his attention to Nam-Gyu, watching him softly as the other noticed him.
”what? I got something on my face?” Nam-Gyu asked with an annoyed expression coming over his face.
He watched as Gyeong-Su’s expression shifted from gentle smile to a more widen look, “No, I-I just-Uh! let’s go!” He stammered, his words fumbling as he turned away quickly and began speed walking off to catch up with Min-Su and Se-Mi, his hands going up in a wave as Min-Su turned his head back to look at Gyeong-Su.
Nam-Gyu could only watch, his eyes watching closely on the way Gyeong-Su moved, he felt the small grin reach his lips as he moved his hand to tuck a strand of hair behind his ear.
“What a fucking loser.” He muttered to himself.
Stepping into the small Café, Nam-Gyu was immediately taken back by the crowd of people in the place, tables filled to the brims and chairs cluttered around with bodies and the sound of music playing faintly in the background.
it reeked of a harsh cinnamon scent, it was overwhelming considering it was mixed with his own cologne and that god awful fruity shampoo Gyeong-Su likes.
he only squinted his eyes, narrowing down on the menu as he heard the muffled sounds of talking next to him.
”me and Se-Mi will try to find a table, you and Nam-Gyu can get your stuff first.” Min-Su’s voice spoke soft yet loud enough to hear over everyone and everything.
Gyeong-Su smiled softly, “Ok!” His smile could be felt when Nam-Gyu turned to look at him, Gyeong-Su following soon after waving off Se-Mi and Min-Su.
his eyes immediately caught Gyeong-Su’s, Gyeong-Su’s doe like eyes, they just stood there, just staring as if there was no words to say.
”wanna hurry? Se-Mi definitely won’t like if we take too long,” Gyeong-Su spoke up, a little bit of his hair falling down to cover his nose, it looked utterly stupid.
”yeah.” Nam-Gyu replied, shutting down his thoughts quickly.
Gyeong-Su only nodded in return, and turned his body away as Nam-Gyu shortly followed suit, they both didn’t say anything as they walked to the counter where a cluster of people behind the counter worked, the sounds of fumbling and running, the squeaks of shoes and other items hitting each other made Nam-Gyu grimace, it sounded so lively and honestly? It looked like hell to be doing.
he turned his head to the side to catch Gyeong-Su patiently waiting by the counter, his hands resting on the smooth surface, a finger tapping to a rhythm, that Nam-Gyu couldn’t hear but he assumed it was the song playing in the background.
Nam-Gyu kept staring, his eyes tracing curves and lines on Gyeong-Su’s face, and the more he stared the more Gyeong-Su’s face glowed in the light, god the way the sun beamed down onto him from the window just looked breathtaking, but Nam-Gyu kept that to himself, cause fuck saying that gay shit out loud.
”hi! Sorry for the wait,” a sudden voice bursted Nam-Gyu’s thoughts as he turned his head back to face the worker.
Gyeong-Su only smiled and waved a dismissive hand to show the worker he didn’t mind, to which the barista smiled at and nodded quickly before clearing his throat.
”Again so sorry, but what can I get you two today?” The guy asked, as Gyeong-Su shifted his attention to the menu.
Nam-Gyu already knew he didn’t want a drink, and the clutter of pastries looked half-decent, but he couldn’t go wrong with a simple croissant.
“I’d like a croissant” Nam-Gyu said first as the barista smiled at him and quickly typed it into his tablet.
”and you?” The worker then turned to Gyeong-Su who was still staring at the menu, but snapped his attention to the barista soon after hearing him speak to him.
”oh! Uh, a small latte would be fine” Gyeong-Su said with a warm smile as the worker just nodded and tapped it into his tablet.
”ok, it won’t be long if you two don’t mind?” The worker said with a laugh that Gyeong-Su followed with before saying “ok,”.
Nam-Gyu then turned to pull his wallet out when Gyeong-Su quickly typed into the card reader, a gesture Nam-Gyu just stared at. But before he could even say anything about it Gyeong-Su was moving off the counter to try and find Se-Mi and Min-Su.
And Nam-Gyu just followed him closely behind, just so he wouldn’t get lost, his hands ghosting the fabric of Gyeong-Su’s leather jacket as Nam-Gyu just walked behind the taller man.
they moved through the small Café quickly as Gyeong-Su spotted Min-Su near a small window that had the best view of the city from it, Se-Mi sat right next to Min-Su her arm resting against his as they sat close with Min-Su’s phone between them as if they where scrolling through somethings.
Nam-Gyu just rolled his eyes, he was sick of the affection spilling off the two it was honestly sickening how soft they where with one another, but Gyeong-Su seemed completely unfazed, his expression still a bright soft one as he made his way over with Nam-Gyu not even a bit behind.
”Whatcha two up too?” Gyeong-Su asked a teasing tone lingering over the words as Min-Su looked at him with a soft smile.
”just looking at instagram stuff, Thanos posted some photos from a thing he’s doing.” Min-Su said moving his phone to show the others.
Nam-Gyu quickly caught onto the photo, Thanos’s bright purple hair sticking out compared to the rest, his narrow cat like eyes filled with excitement as he had a arm slung over Mi-Na’s shoulders, her eyes soft and affectionate as she stared up at him.
it made him feel sick, but he didn’t say anything and just tensed his smile as Gyeong-Su just looked closer.
”oh did he finally get with Mi-Na? Guy’s been raving about her, right Nam-Gyu?” He said with a chuckle, his elbow poking at Nam-Gyu lightly, the contact making Nam-Gyu blink and turn his attention to Gyeong-Su.
”yeah.” He replied as Gyeong-Su stared at him, the same soft look lingering over his expression.
Gyeong-Su then turned his gaze over to Min-Su and Se-Mi who seemed to have went back to scrolling as they shared the phone between them.
”seem’s like it,” Se-Mi said with a grin as she turned her attention away from the phone to stare at Gyeong-Su and Nam-Gyu.
”that’s great.” Nam-Gyu gritted between his teeth, his lips falling flat as he looked at Se-Mi her lips now losing that grin as she looked at him back, a mutual expression shared between them.
Gyeong-Su then sighed and flopped down in the open seat closet to the window, his arms going to rest on the shiny table as he watched Nam-Gyu closely.
“Standing must be tiring” he joked as Nam-Gyu just scoffed and took the empty seat.
Taking the seat Nam-Gyu instantly let out a breath and took his phone out, his attention shifted to the way he lingered his eyes over the screen, before hesitating and just staring down the instagram app, but he just sighed and opened it, his eyes immediately meeting the same exact photo.
He stared at it more and more, before shifting his gaze to the caption, “me and my senorita @Kang_Mina 💜” he just stared at it, reading it as he blocked out the world around him.
he seemed to be so stuck that he didn’t notice when Se-Mi and Min-Su left to get something or when Gyeong-Su happily thanked someone for something, and or when the sudden warmth hit his face meaning something was placed in front of him.
”Hey? You good.” Gyeong-Su’s voice ripped through his thoughts as he quickly placed his phone down, face down and shifted his face to stare at the other.
“Yeah, im fine.” He mumbled rubbing a tired hand over his face before dropping the hand near his plate where a fresh croissant rested.
he sort of looked at it for a minute before picking it up and taking a bite from it, the warmth immediately coming through, the softness of the croissant was perfect and the soft crunch made him sigh happily as he swallowed the bite and let out a breath he barely noticed he was holding.
”it’s that good huh?” Gyeong-Su joked, his eyes staring at Nam-Gyu softly, a raised eye brow teasing him as he just shrugged him off.
”very.” He replied before quickly scarfing down the rest of his croissant.
When he finished he looked over at Gyeong-Su who was sipping his latte as he stared out the window, the glow from the window beaming down on him, enlightening the most outstanding parts of Gyeong-Su.
His brown eyes glimmering underneath the soft sunlight, and Nam-Gyu felt stuck staring as he just stared without much notice, his eyes glued on how Gyeong-Su looked underneath the light.
“Ow!” Gyeong-Su quickly quipped, pulling the cup away from his lips and as he placed it down he shifted his tongue to stick a bit out his mouth.
Nam-Gyu continued to stare at him but now with a sudden confusion as he just watched Gyeong-Su, and well Gyeong-Su must have noticed him cause their eyes met suddenly and Gyeong-Su just let out a breathless chuckle.
”sorry burnt my tongue” he said as un muffled he could with his tongue out of his mouth.
And before Nam-Gyu could say or do anything he quickly pulled his tongue back into his mouth and just leaned against his chair, his head moving back.
oh? Nam-Gyu thought as he watched Gyeong-Su sit like that for a minute before shooting back up and turning in his chair bit to catch Min-Su and Se-Mi.
the pair was walking back together, a muffin in Min-Su’s left hand while Se-Mi held a small paper cup in her right hand, and between them was their intertwined hands.
Gyeong-Su then turned back towards the table when the others made it back, before quickly taking back their seats and becoming comfortable in the limited space.
”so? What’s everyone doing after this?” Gyeong-Su asked one of his hands messing around with his empty latte cup while his free one rested near the cup.
”probably gonna watch a movie back at home.” Se-Mi replied with a small nudge that made Min-Su look up and nod of agreement with.
Gyeong-Su then turned to Nam-Gyu who just stared back.
”nothing probably, but I don’t exactly want to head home.” He mumbled a tired groan leaving his lips as he waved a hand in front of him.
his words seemed to enlighten a idea in Gyeong-Su’s mind as he sent Nam-Gyu a bright eyed look.
”Hey! What about me and you go to my place?” Gyeong-Su asked with a smile that Nam-Gyu stared at.
”oh? And do what.” He asked with an uneasy look that Gyeong-Su brushed off.
”we could watch something,” Gyeong-Su said casually as he looked at Nam-Gyu with a look.
”watch something.” Nam-Gyu repeated an unimpressed expression sitting on his face.
Gyeong-Su then shrugged and smiled a bright smile, “or we can go to that one place you like?” He added with a slight shift in his tone.
”we could,” Nam-Gyu replied a narrow gaze following Gyeong-Su as he turned away to smile at Min-Su who was crumping up his muffin wrapper.
the sun still beamed from the window as Se-Mi sighed and stood up with a stretch, “ok then, you two do what you tweakers do, me and Min-Su are off.” She said before grabbing Min-Su’s hand and turning off, a quick wave being lifted as she and Min-Su drifted off and out the door.
“What a bitch.” Nam-Gyu grumbled underneath his breath as he placed his phone back into his pocket, and after doing that he quickly crossed them and sighed, his eyes catching Gyeong-Su who was standing up.
”so, you taking my offer?” Gyeong-Su asked with a lopsided smile.
Nam-Gyu just sighed and uncrossed his arms, “sure, where too.”
The words lingered in the air as Gyeong-Su shrugged and moved to start walking out the Café, Nam-Gyu following him from the side, their shoulders barely touching as Gyeong-Su just thought.
”what about a book store?”
Nam-Gyu didn’t reply and just nodded before shifting the door open for him and Gyeong-Su.
”sure.”
