Work Text:
A gentleman named Akira tapped his foot impatiently on the floor as he watched the glass door leading into his bakery swung open. A young man named Kenji was clearly out of breath as he slumped his way towards the apron.
"You're late." Akira grumbled as he slapped his hand against the clock hanging crookedly on the wall of the convenience store.
"Sorry, my bike had a flat." Kenji replied, tying his apron around his waist with a sigh.
“Again? I feel like I’m listening to a broken record rather than a valid excuse for your frequent tardiness.” Akira said as he rolled his eyes.
"I know, I know. But you wouldn't believe what I saw on the way here." Kenji said, brushing off the dust from his pants. His voice trailed off as he tried to find the right words.
"What, another cat stuck in a tree?" Akira quipped, his voice thick with sarcasm.
"No, man! I was pedaling my way here when I looked at one of the TV sets in the TV shop’s window. It showed something biiiiiiig coming out of the ocean. It was huge, like nothing I've ever seen before!" Kenji said, his eyes growing wide with excitement. Akira raised an eyebrow.
"Alright, what was it this time? Some kind of giant squirrel?" Akira asked. Kenji's expression grew serious.
"It was a...monster. Like something out of a Godzilla movie, but way bigger. It was tearing up the big city!" Kenji said.
“Alright, I’ve had just about enough of your antics, son. You leave me no choice but to…” Akira said as he was about to drop the proverbial ‘guillotine’ on Kenji as far as his employment inside the bakery.
However, a loud roar viciously shook the entire bakery and shattered every last window inside, and Akira and Kenji were forced to cover their ears to keep them from maybe exploding. A few seconds later when they finally uncovered their ears, they heard people screaming, and one look outside confirmed that as dozens of people were running down the street. Alarms were already blaring all over Tomoeda City, whether that be car alarms or those very loud alarms that normally warn of something like a tsunami coming. Akira and Kenji both stepped outside the bakery and gasped over what they saw. The giant lizard-like monster rampaged mindlessly all over the city, slapping buildings down to the ground with its claws. It had to be over 150 meters tall, with scales that looked like they were made of steel and eyes that burned like the sun. A middle-aged woman rushed towards Akira and Kenji, her face a mask of terror.
"The apocalypse is upon us! We’re going to die!!!" she screamed.
“Oh my god… this can’t be real. This can’t!” Akira shouted. The trio ran down the street and looked towards one of the televisions even as they struggled to keep their footing from the tremors of each and every step from the monster. As the static cleared, an emergency broadcast filled the small screen, displaying a live feed of the chaos from a helicopter’s point of view. The monster's massive silhouette loomed over the cityscape, a terrifying specter against the backdrop of smoke and flames. It roared, a sound that seemed to shake the very foundation of the building, and the three people watched in horror as a skyscraper toppled under its mighty foot. The woman's screams grew louder as she recognized the neighborhood she called home in the destruction.
"Oh no! My family lives in that neighborhood!" she repeated, her voice a high-pitched whine of despair. Akira felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead as the monster's foot slammed into the ground, sending a shockwave through the city.
"We have to get out of here! Call the military, the police, anyone!" he said towards Kenji, who was fumbling his cell phone in his hands. However, the line was busy, a cacophony of panic echoing through the receiver. He slammed it down, his mind racing.
“Darn it! The line’s are busy! What do we do now!?” Kenji said.
“What else? Run run run!!!” Akira shouted as he, Kenji, and the woman all joined the crowd in running away from the terrifying giant beast.
Shortly before the attack started, Tomoyo Daidouji sat cross-legged on the edge of the plush pink rug in her bedroom, her camera resting patiently on her knees, ready to capture the moment she’d been eagerly awaiting. The soft tinkling of her wind chimes outside danced through the air, but her mind was focused solely on the door of the bathroom, which had been closed for far too long. Behind the door, Sakura Kinomoto busied herself with the final touches of the futuristic outfit that Tomoyo had designed. All week, they had discussed ideas, sketches, and materials while sipping their favorite strawberry tea. The vision had come together perfectly, and now Sakura’s heart fluttered with both anticipation and nerves. Taking a deep breath, she glanced at her reflection in the bathroom mirror. The blue one-piece hugged her form snugly, with elegant shoulder pads that gave her an imposing silhouette. She marveled at the contrast of rich blue against the pristine white lining, and the luxurious gold borders that made the ensemble truly pop. But the pièce de résistance was undeniably the massive, wing-shaped golden chest piece, adorned with a red circle matching the gem in her staff. (In case you haven’t figured it out, this is the same outfit she wore in Episode 31, aka the episode when she first used the Big card.)
“Okay, Tomoyo, here I come!” Sakura shouted.
Finally, she flung the bathroom door open, stepping out with a whirl of confidence. The light from the window caught the shimmering fabric, casting beams of gold around the room like scattered stardust. Tomoyo’s eyes widened, her breath hitching in her throat.
“Sakura! It’s… it’s… it’s perfect!” Tomoyo said with sparkles in her eyes as she played around with her camcorder.
With Tomoyo’s verbal seal of approval, Sakura struck a playful pose, her blue thigh-high boots gleaming, with the gold-trimmed openings accentuating the very essence of combat-ready elegance. The petite gold wings extending from each side of Sakura’s head, gave her an air of authority.
“Oh my goodness, you look incredible!” Tomoyo exclaimed, rapidly adjusting her camera to capture every angle. She darted around Sakura like a whirlwind, filming her from head to toe, ensuring the perfect shot of the intricate details Tomoyo had poured her heart into.
“Do you really think so? I wasn’t sure about the tail design…” Sakura asked, spinning playfully, the tails of her costume swirling dramatically. Tomoyo shook her head fervently.
“It’s genius! Look at how they flow! It’s like you’re ready to soar into battle. This outfit is going to become legendary, I just know it!” Tomoyo said.
“Heh… wasn’t it already legendary, especially given the fact that one night I was wearing it to grow giant and keep that giant dragon from reaching Tomoeda? I mean… Syaoran liked the outfit…” Sakura asked. A bashful blush crept across Sakura’s cheeks, her confidence bolstered by Tomoyo’s enthusiasm.
“Liked it? Everyone will once again be blown away! I mean, you’re already the most amazing magical girl, and now you’ve leveled up into a commander. This is going to change the game!” Tomoyo chuckled, adjusting the frame to get a close-up of the red circle on the wings. Sakura laughed, spinning to face Tomoyo, overcome with joy.
“Yeah, I do feel like I could take on anything in this outfit! Even the toughest of cards!” Sakura said. As the sunlight streamed through the window, bathing the room in a warm glow, Tomoyo knew this was only the beginning. Commander Sakura was ready, not just to face whatever challenges lay ahead but also to forge her legacy as a force of hope and friendship. With Tomoyo behind the lens, capturing every moment, Sakura felt unstoppable. Together, they were not just a magical duo; they were a team destined to inspire bravery, creativity, and a touch of magic in the world around them.
However, a powerful boom sound and the entire room vibrating knocked the two girls out of their joyful experience.
“Whoa! What was that!?” Sakura shouted.
“An earthquake?” Tomoyo asked nervously. Sakura rushed to the window of Tomoyo’s bedroom and gasped over what she saw as she looked in the distance past the trees.
“Oh my… What on Earth is that!?” Sakura said as she and later Tomoyo both dropped their jaws in horror over seeing the giant Godzilla-like monster in the distance, shooting a fireball towards a group of buildings and making them explode into bright and heated fireballs. The sight that met them was nothing short of apocalyptic. Tomoeda City, their home, was under attack by a monstrosity that seemed to have been ripped straight from the pages of a science fiction comic. Skyscrapers crumpled like paper in the creature's path, and the once bustling streets were now a chaotic tapestry of fleeing citizens and crumbling concrete. Tomoyo's grip tightened on the curtains.
"It… it's like out of a science fiction movie! Could this be from a new card?" Tomoyo managed to say, her voice quaking with fear. Sakura took a step back, her hand still over her heart. As her new costume fluttered around her, a stark contrast to the chaos unfolding before them, Sakura tightly clutched her wand.
"Whatever it is, we have to do something, Tomoyo. We can't just stand here and let that thing play around and ravage the city like a baby to building blocks!" Sakura said, her voice steadying.
“I’m with you, Sakura. Whoa… that costume is making you braver and bolder already!” Tomoyo said.
“Well, that and having a year and a half of CardCaptoring experience helps.” Sakura said with a playful grin and a sweatdrop coming down the side of her head. She then twirled her wand around and summoned one of her many powers.
“Fly!” Sakura shouted as wings sprouted out of her wand and it extended. Sakura sat at the front of the wand while Tomoyo took the back seat, gripping the wand with one hand and holding the camera with the other. With the grace of a gazelle, Sakura leaped out the bedroom window, and with a mighty thrust of the wand, they shot into the air, the wind whipping through their hair as they ascended.
The monster grew larger and more terrifying with each yard they flew closer, its scaled body casting a shadow over the city like a living mountain. As they approached the monster's towering form, the wind grew more violent, carrying the scent of burning metal and scorched earth. The creature's eyes, blazing orbs of fiery hatred, swiveled in their direction, and it roared once more, a sound that seemed to shake the very fabric of reality.
"Don’t get too close, Sakura!" Tomoyo yelled over the noise, her knuckles white as she clung to Sakura's waist. With a deep breath, she steered their flight path downwards, aiming for the creature's colossal legs. The wind grew stronger, carrying the acrid scent of destruction as they drew closer. Tomoyo could feel the heat radiating off the monster's body, a stark contrast to the cold fear that had taken root in her stomach.
Finally, Sakura and Tomoyo touched down on the ground and the two looked up at the menacing monster, with Tomoyo filming its body from head to toe.
“Whoa… that monster is so huge…” Tomoyo said.
“Yes, but there’s someone else that’s going to be huge.” Sakura said. Without hesitation, she pulled out the Big card. Tomoyo’s eyes glittered and she opened her mouth wide as she recognized the design of the card.
“Yippee! The Big card! I looooooooved when you grew giant that one night.” Tomoyo said. She then watched as Sakura pulled another card out that was tucked in her outfit, which Tomoyo recognized as well.
“Oh? The Shield card?” Tomoyo asked.
“Yes, Tomoyo. This is for you. I’m going to cover your body in a protective shield, that way you don’t get hurt during our ensuing battle.” Sakura said.
“Oh… thank you, Sakura. This way, I can get the best closeups without fear of being crushed!” Tomoyo said.
“Heh heh… yep. Now hold still…” Sakura said as she looked over towards Tomoyo, who took a deep breath. Sakura tossed the Shield card in front of her, watching the card twirl in mid-air.
“Protect my dearest friend from the danger that is about to come… SHIELD!!!” Sakura said as she slammed the tip of her wand down on the Shield card. A few seconds pass, and the energy shoots its way towards Tomoyo, covering her entire body, school clothes included, in a series of glittering sparkles. Sakura didn’t have to do anything else. She knew just by looking at Tomoyo that she was protected.
“There, that’s done. Now then, it’s time to grow and save our beloved city.” Sakura said as she clutched the Big card next.
Tomoyo’s perspective
The creature was unlike anything I had ever seen. Scales glimmered like wet stone, its eyes like glowing red lanterns, set deep within a fearsome visage. With a breath that could knock down trees, it unleashed a mighty roar that sent shivers racing down my spine. But there was a fierce confidence in Sakura, almost rivaling that of the fierce fighter, Meiling Li. I felt a wave of reassurance wash over me as she prepared her magic.
“Let the magic of this wand ascend me to the heavens to take on this fearsome creature! BIIIIIIIG!!!” Sakura shouted, her voice cutting through the chaos that enveloped Tomoeda like a morning fog. The energy accumulated around her wand, and then, in an electrifying display of light, she grew to colossal proportions, almost matching the monster's height meter for meter. Okay, she was probably close to a full head shorter than the monster, but still, I couldn’t help but gasp. My best friend, once an ordinary girl like me, had transformed into an exquisite giantess. My heart swelled with pride as I focused the lens of my camcorder on her.
“This is going to be an amazing clip!” I murmured, the thrill buzzing through me. Sakura, meanwhile, was laser focused on the creature. As I fought to keep my footing because of the ground shaking from the steps of both Sakura and the monster, she called out to the vile looking creature.
“Hey, you big bully! Why are you rampaging through my town?” she called out, her voice ringing with courage. Unsurprisingly, the other people stopped running as they looked up in awe over my giant friend standing up to the monster. I can only imagine what they’re thinking… this is the kind of absurd scenario you could only see in a movie theater or a comic book! Then again, they hadn’t known until today about the legendary CardCaptor Sakura.
With a swift movement, Sakura charged towards the gigantic creature, dodging its sweeping claws with the grace only she could possess. The air crackled with the tension of the impending battle. I was in my element, filming every glide and dodge with excitement, capturing her heroism as she confronted the beast head-on. The monster turned its massive head, confusion flickering in its fiery eyes. Sparks and energy crackled in the atmosphere; it seemed bewildered by this once tiny, bold girl challenging its might. I couldn’t believe how brave Sakura was, pushing forth against a creature that could’ve easily squashed her.
“It’s time to show you who’s in charge!” Sakura shouted. With determination, she twirled her wand, ready to use it like a sword as the titans charged towards each other. For a moment, I thought maybe Sakura would cast another spell… she’s got over 50 to choose from, after all! But instead, she resorted mainly to physical attacks. I can see why, to be honest. The city was already in grave danger from one giant being, and now there were two of them. It would’ve been too much even for my Mom to take! I gasped as I watched Sakura take a step back and crush and mangle some parked cars underneath her boots. On one hand I felt bad for those vehicles, but then again, nobody was in them… and I got great shots of Sakura’s pretty blue boots on a grander scale making mangled metal out of those vehicles. That will make great footage should I ever decide to make a movie like, say, Attack of the Giant CardCaptor Sakura.
Of course, the monster wasn’t so easily subdued. With raw strength, the monster swatted away Sakura’s wand, causing her to stumble mid-air. I gasped, my heart lurched in fear for my friend. There was no denying that this creature was a force of nature, like a wild and untamed wolf in the mountains.
“Stay strong, Sakura!” I yelled from below, my voice filled with both concern and encouragement. I felt the weight of her journey, the sacrifices she made to protect this city. My fingers danced nervously over the buttons of my camcorder, capturing every moment… the chaos, her resolve, and the beast’s defiance. As the battle continued and the two giants danced around, obliterating more vehicles and smaller buildings that whipped everyone except me into a panicked frency, it was a mesmerizing clash of strength and magic. Sakura dodged and countered, her movements fluid and graceful as she showed off her moves one after another… a testament to her growth and her unwavering spirit. Each strike of her wand surged with brilliance, illuminating the darkening skies as shadows danced on the ground.
“Come on, Sakura! You can do it!” I cheered, waving my arms animatedly, even though she couldn’t hear me over the deafening sounds of battle, including of course things getting crushed under their feet.
But then, something unexpected happened. The creature, in its fury, let out a powerful blast of fire that sent shockwaves rippling through the air. I stumbled backward, my heart racing as I kept filming, determined not to miss a moment. The sheer size of the beast and the weight of its ferocity made me realize just how dangerous this situation was. As Sakura dodged the fiery blast, something seemed to catch her foot. I missed what it was, but all I knew was it had knocked her off balance and sent her careening down towards a group of buildings.
“Sakura!” I screamed as Sakura crashed down to the ground, violently shaking the area and sending clouds of smoke and dust up from underneath Sakura’s legs where she landed and crushed all those poor structures. I could see Sakura across the battlefield, shaking but resolute. She mustered her courage, slowly standing tall amidst the rubble and chaos that surrounded her. This was more than just a battle; it was a testament to her growth as a person and as a CardCaptor. I could see it in her stance, the way she lifted her wand high.
End Tomoyo’s perspective
Sakura got back to her feet, gasping for air as the monster stared her down once more. This monster is putting up a tougher fight than I imagined, she thought. Then again, she was a tad shorter than the monster itself. The thought process kicked into overdrive in her head. She had to be even bigger than the monster to stand a chance. Could she perhaps use the Big card again to enlarge herself even more? There was only one way to find out, as she pulled the Big card out from her outfit.
“Oh, Sakura? What are you doing?” Tomoyo asked from the ground, though her voice sounded as clear as day. What Tomoyo didn’t know was that the Shield spell Sakura cast on her not only protected her from any potential harm from the battle, but also projected her voice into Sakura’s ear telepathically.
“I’m gonna show that monster what it’s like to be trampled on, just like the innocent people of this city!” Sakura shouted. Tomoyo let out an excited gasp, already imagining what Sakura will look like at an even bigger scale.
“Ooooooooh… I’m tingling with excitement!” Tomoyo said as she tightly clutched the camcorder. Sakura, with a determined look on her face, tossed the Big card in front of her face, watching it twirl in front of her.
“BIIIIIIIIIG!!!” Sakura screamed as she slammed her wand down on the card.
Just like before, the energy swirled out of the card and right around Sakura like a visible gust of wind. The people on the street and the monster itself watched in awe as the world around her grew smaller as she grew even taller, already dwarfing even the monstrous creature before her. As she grew, Sakura felt a swirl of emotions go through her brain as she grew. Gradually fading away were the emotions of ensuring she fought to keep much of the city as safe as possible from the giant threat. Now, as the monster and the rest of Tomoeda continued to shrink before her eyes, she felt a sense of enormous power that made her skin tingle. She felt like a titaness amongst mortals. With newfound confidence, she looked down at the monster that had brought so much fear and chaos. Her eyes burned with a determination that was mirrored in the gleaming steel of a sword. The creature's eyes narrowed, sensing the shift in power. It roared a challenge, its fiery breath illuminating the dust-choked air. But Sakura brushed it off.
“Hmph. Truly pathetic. You think you can stop me now, little monster? I will see to it you crush no more lives!” Sakura shouted with a fierce boldness in her voice that echoed for miles. Sakura took a moment to gather herself, her legs planted firmly on the trembling ground. Then, with a grace that belied her massive form, she raised her boot and slammed it into the monster's side. The impact was explosive, sending the creature hurtling through the air like a ragdoll thrown by a child. It smashed through buildings, leaving a trail of destruction as it flew. The city watched in silent amazement as their heroine, a mere girl moments ago, now a titaness of power, had struck back. The monster's body hit the ground with a thud that resonated through the city, knocking over more buildings as it rolled and skidded to a halt. It let out an agonized screech that pierced the air, sending birds flying in every direction. For a moment, there was only the sound of debris settling and the distant wails of sirens. Then, slowly, the creature began to push itself up, scales scraping against the concrete, its eyes glowing with a fiercer intensity than before.
Sakura took a step towards the beast, the ground trembling with each of her giant strides. The citizens of Tomoeda watched in awe and terror, their world forever changed by the battle playing out before their eyes. The creature looked up at her, a mix of fear and fury in its eyes as the blue boots the giantess wore over her legs stretched towards the sky. It bared its teeth and let out a faint roar that shook the windows of the few buildings still standing. But Sakura remained unfazed. With a swiftness that defied her size, she bent down and scooped the monster into her palm. It thrashed and roared, its sharp claws digging into her skin, but she didn't flinch. Her heart pounded in her chest, a rush of power fueling her. The weight of the creature in her hand was as light as a feather, a testament to the power she now wielded. She felt a strange kinship with the terrified creature, knowing that it too was a victim of forces beyond its control. But she couldn't let it continue its rampage. With a gentle yet firm grip, Sakura casually walked around the city's outskirts, her steps causing tremors that rippled through the streets. Each time she placed her foot down, the earth groaned and cracked beneath her, sending cars and debris flying. The monster roared and writhed, trying to break free, but Sakura held on tightly, her gaze never leaving its fiery eyes. Sakura, meanwhile, further felt the power charge through her veins. Not only from holding this once mighty creature like a doll in her hand, but also from how easily the city crumbled beneath her boots. Compassion was an emotion that seemed to further and further fade away inside her psyche. The people below watched in amazement as the monster that had once brought them to their knees was now being handled like a kitten by their unlikely savior, but at the same time, they felt like Sakura’s mighty steps were not for the city’s safety in mind as more and more buildings were easily demolished under Sakura’s boots.
With Sakura feeling like the creature had been humiliated enough, she opened her hand, and the creature fell to the ground with a thud. It roared, thrashing and struggling to rise. She had seen enough. With an emotionless heart, she knew what she had to do.
“Hmmhmm! It’s been fun, little monster, but your time is up. I, CardCaptor Sakura, will end your pitiful existence right here and now!” Sakura shouted. Sakura lifted her foot, her giant boot poised to deliver a crushing blow. The monster, now only a few meters tall in Sakura’s eyes, looked up at her with a mix of anger and fear, its fiery eyes dimming. It was a pathetic sight, this once mighty creature reduced to a mere bug at her mercy. The weight of the decision bore down on her, but she couldn't let it go on a rampage again. The monster had no chance compared to the weight of the even bigger Sakura. She brought her boot down, the impact echoing through the city like a thunderclap. The creature's body buckled under the pressure, its roars of protest silenced as it was crushed into the earth. The ground trembled with the force, sending shockwaves outwards that made even the sturdiest structures groan in protest. By the time Sakura lifted her boot back up after no longer feeling pressure or resistance from underneath, there was nothing left but a smear of dust and ash. The once-mighty beast that had brought fear and destruction to Tomoeda was now nothing but a distant memory. As the dust settled, Tomoyo sprinted towards Sakura, her camera still rolling.
"Sakura, you did it!" she screamed, her voice a mix of excitement and relief. The giant Sakura leaned down, her colossal hand reaching out to scoop up her friend. Tomoyo felt the wind from her descent and had to fight the urge to shut her eyes tight, especially as Sakura closed two of her fingers together to lift her up. Fortunately, thanks to the Shield card, Tomoyo felt no pain or pressure from Sakura’s grip. Given Sakura was as big as the Tokyo Tower, if not bigger, such a grip would’ve been fatal to anyone else.
Sakura finished lifting Tomoyo up to her eyes, which took up her entire vision as she continued to film her titanic friend. The world looked so tiny and fragile from this height, but Tomoyo felt safe in Sakura's grasp.
"Thanks for filming, Tomoyo." Sakura said with a grin, her voice booming and yet sounding gentle to her ears through the quiet that had descended upon the city. Suddenly, Sakura showed a smug look on her face.
"But I'm not done yet." Sakura said.
“Huh? You’re not?” Tomoyo asked. The giantess looked around, surveying the trembling buildings and the people still frozen in awe. A new idea seemed to spark in her eyes, a glint of excitement that Tomoyo recognized all too well.
"Keep filming, I want to show everyone what I can do." Sakura instructed, her voice filled with a newfound confidence. Tomoyo opened her mouth wide, already sensing Sakura’s change in demeanor… and yet, she wasn’t about to object to it. Sakura had the power of not just hundreds of magicians and magical girls and other people like that… she was a goddess amongst men and women. She was going to put on a great show no matter what and she was along for the ride.
“I understand, Sakura.” Tomoyo said, her camera still rolling, as Sakura began to perform a series of gravity-defying feats after setting her friend back down on top of a skyscraper that still stood. She crushed scores of vehicles under her boots with ease, kicking some of them into the sky and catching them again, her laughter echoing through the streets like the peal of a giantess's bell. She smashed smaller building after smaller building, the ground shaking with each step. Her outfit fluttered behind her like a banner of triumph, a stark contrast to the grey ash that coated the city. The people below gaped at her, some in awe, but many of them in fear. The giant girl that once stood up to the monster was now the one causing destructive rampage beyond their wildest imagination.
Akira and Kenji watched from the wreckage of the convenience store, their hearts racing as they took in the sheer power of Sakura.
"What the heck is she doing?" Akira shouted over the sound of crunching metal. Kenji's eyes were glued to the scene, his voice filled with a mix of admiration and concern.
"She's...she's showing everyone she's in control." he murmured.
“I thought she was going to save us from that giant monster, but now…” Akira said.
“She’s turned into a monster of her own.” the woman said behind the two as they watched in horror Sakura continue her playful rampage. The rest of Tomoeda watched, both terrified and amazed, as Sakura continued her playful rampage. Her boots, now the size of small houses, smashed into the asphalt, sending fountains of debris skyward with every step. Her massive hands plucked at the remnants of buildings, reducing them to rubble with a child-like curiosity. Her fingers danced through the air, sending cars spinning like tops and knocking over street lights as if they were mere toothpicks. As more and more of these people got the hint that Sakura was no longer their savior but rather the destructor, they ran for whatever cover they could find. Alas, most people weren’t so lucky, as they looked up and saw nothing but the ridges of the bottom of her blue boot come down on them, crushing them instantly as their worlds were covered in darkness. With a mischievous twinkle in her giant eyes, Sakura playfully slapped her behind, sending a shockwave that flattened a whole block. The sound was like a sonic boom, and the ground rippled outwards from the point of impact. The people below ducked and covered their heads, unsure if they should laugh or scream. People could only gape in shock, their earlier awe giving way to a sinking realization of what this kind of power could do in the wrong hands.
Sakura's fingers danced in the air, and she giggled as she played piano with the buildings. Each tap of her finger sent a skyscraper toppling like a giant domino, the sound of shattering glass and crumbling concrete music to her ears. Her laughter grew louder and more sinister with each tap, echoing through the desolate streets like a taunt to the city that had been her playground only moments ago. Her cheeks bounced playfully as she skipped over the destruction, leaving a path of flattened cars and shattered concrete in her wake. She cupped her hands and scooped up a river of water from a broken hydrant, sending it cascading over a row of houses like a giant's bath. The people below watched in horror and amazement as the water rushed through the streets, carrying with it the detritus of their lives. Next, Sakura's breath grew stronger, a gust of wind that could blow over an entire fleet of buses. She leaned down, pursing her lips, and blew a kiss to the city. The air around her distorted as the kiss shot out, a pink beam of invisible power that toppled a nearby bridge as if it were a paperclip. The river parted around the pillar of wind, the water rushing to fill the new gap in the landscape. Her armpits, now caverns of power, released a burst of energy that sent shockwaves through the buildings. They trembled and swayed, their windows shattering in a symphony of breaking glass. The force was gentle, yet powerful, a reminder of the delicate balance she now had to maintain.
Tomoyo’s perspective
The wind raced through my hair, swirling it like a tornado as I stayed perched on the rooftop of the tallest building in Tomoeda. But my focus was elsewhere… on the figure that now towered above the city, casting her colossal shadow across bustling streets. Her name was Sakura Kinomoto, my best friend and, at this moment, a breathtaking goddess of magnitude, standing undoubtably as tall as the Tokyo Tower itself. Ooooooh… I get goosebumps just thinking about that! My fingers trembled, not from fear but from excitement as I adjusted the camera lens trying to keep my giant friend focused. I had always loved capturing unbelievable and supernatural moments. Be it through film, photography, or simply being present, there was something extraordinarily alive about turning fleeting seconds into something tangible. And here, before me, was the ultimate spectacle, a living metaphor of dreams unleashed. A playful giggle floated down to me from her colossal form, her eyes sparkling like starlit skies. Clearly she was thoroughly enjoying her power trip by using the Big card a second time. The sound was intoxicating, fueling an adrenaline rush I had not experienced in ages. As I framed her through the viewfinder of my camera, I marveled at how her playful spirit had remained unscathed even by her monumental change. She plucked a skyscraper from its foundation like it was a daisy and tossed it into the air, laughing like a villainess as it shattered against the ground. Was it wrong what she was doing, especially with so many innocent lives being lost? Absolutely. But she was still my friend. I would support her no matter what she did both in the classroom and with her growing list of powers.
The ground trembled beneath her boots, sending ripples through the city as if it were a puppet dancing to her whims.
“Oh Sakura, this is incredible! Make sure you crush the park too! I need to get some good shots!” I exclaimed, eyes glued to the habit of capturing her every moment. Despite being like a mosquito to the giantess, Sakura heard my words as if I were whispering into her ear.
“As you wish, Tomoyo!” Sakura excitedly shouted, her voice echoing like a distant melody but vibrant enough to send chills down my spine.
With each stride she took, I found myself swept up in her joy, and surprisingly, my own echoed it. The camera rolled, capturing her every glance and giggle, every playful and powerful stomp that left deep imprints in the streets below. I could see the glimmer in her eyes, reflecting the excitement of her newfound stature. My heart thudded loudly in my chest as I captured the singular joy that leapt from her like a comet across the universe. Yet, there was a flicker of unease deep within me that I could not dismiss. The world around us wasn’t just scenery; it was home to thousands of people, and while Sakura’s intention wasn’t to harm, giant beings like her and the monster she pancaked crash-landing through buildings produced an effect. My instincts as a filmmaker began to whisper, pulling me into the ethical confines of filming such chaos. She waved as if greeting friends from the top of a mountain, instantly eliciting cheers from the crowd, only to stomp them underneath her boot next. Again, my spine shivered as I felt the powerful tremor of each stomp and looked underneath her boot and saw wads and wads of dirt, grime, and the remains of several structures stuck like glue.
The rush of creative energy coursed through my veins, climbing higher and higher. I could envision it… the film festival, the crowning moment when I could submit my latest masterpiece inspired by the incredible power of friendship. To show the world that even when faced with colossal challenges, there was beauty. Provided of course that film festival wasn’t crushed already, teehee!
End Tomoyo’s perspective
Suddenly, despite Sakura’s massive size, she heard a cackle of static electricity ring at her boots. She looked down and saw one portal after another opening. More and more giant monsters that looked like they belonged in a corny black and white monster movie like that lizard creature earlier came storming out, all small enough to be crushed underneath Sakura’s footwear with ease. The sight of the new monsters emerging from the portals didn't fill Sakura with fear. Instead, it brought a wild, reckless excitement. Her heart pounded in her chest, a mix of exhilaration and a strange sense of belonging. With the flick of her wrist, she called upon the Big card once more, feeling the power surge through her like a river of pure potential.
“BIIIIIIIIIG!!!” Sakura screamed as the energy came pouring out of the card like water out of a faucet. Her body grew once more, stretching and expanding until she was 2 kilometers tall, a colossal being that dwarfed not only the city she had once called home, but others beyond it. Sakura grinned almost evilly as her ears picked up the faint screams of these distant cities. The air around her crackled with energy as she grew, the buildings stretching away like a tiny model. The people of Tomoeda, now mere specks below, shouted up at her, their voices lost in the wind that whipped around her. She could see the entirety of Tomoeda spread out before her, a sprawling playground of destruction and rebirth, especially between her boots.
The new monsters, dwarfed by her new size, looked up at her with a mix of terror and challenge. They roared and stomped, their multi-colored scales glinting in the light of the setting sun. But Sakura was not afraid. With the Big card, she had become the ultimate authority, a goddess of power that could crush them with a mere thought. She raised her boot and the monsters paused, sensing the shift in power dynamics. A grin spread across her face, and she brought her foot down, sending a shockwave that practically obliterated all of Tomoeda. The few monsters that managed to survive being crushed stumbled, their eyes wide with fear as they realized she was not a mere giant to be trifled with. They turned to flee, but it was too late. With a flick of her wrist, she sent a gust of wind that sent them tumbling into each other, their roars of fear mingling into a living, breathing pile of doom. Her heart raced as she took in the sight of the monsters trying to regain their footing. The power coursing through her veins was intoxicating, and she knew she had to take advantage of it here and now. With a quick thought, she lifted her boot up and slammed it down. The monsters were no match for the thunderous quake she had conjured, and they were swept up into the violent vibration, their bodies smashing into buildings and each other as a fissure opened beneath their feet and they were swallowed by the planet. The air was filled with the sound of crunching metal and shattering glass as the boom seemingly echoed forever, a whirlwind of destruction that danced to Sakura's will.
“Hahaha! Do you see, Tomoeda? Do you see, Tokyo? Kyoto? Osaka? ALL OF JAPAN!? I am your all encompassing goddess, and I will shape this world as I see fit!” Sakura said with a grin on her face that could barely be seen by the fleeing people from city to city, if her face wasn’t obscured by the flowing clouds already. The people below watched in a mix of horror and amazement as their savior had grown to unthinkable heights. The ground split open with each step she took, and the wind from her movements sent debris flying in all directions.
Her eyes searched the cityscape, spotting more portals opening and spilling forth their otherworldly inhabitants. With a fierce determination, she stomped her boots, the impacts sending shockwaves that tore apart the closest portals, their edges flickering and collapsing in on themselves with a sound like shattering crystal. And of course the monsters had no chance to survive, and neither did the cities below these boots. Sakura didn’t just let her boots do all the action either. After getting down on her knees first to get a closer look, Sakura smiled and swept her hands across the city, picking up some of the monsters that managed to survive her stomps as well as big chunks of the ground that included portions of the city. And what did she do with them? The answer would become crystal clear, especially as the giantess licked her lips.
“Mmmm… I wonder what you little creatures taste like. Hopefully like my favorite candy!” Sakura shouted as she opened her mouth wide and dumped the contents of her hands inside. She chewed and chewed, hardly feeling the living beings as big clumps of the ground tore apart and slid down her saliva-drenched tongue. Sakura let out a satisfied ahhhhhh and rubbed her stomach with one of her hands.
Meanwhile, at the distant Tachibana Military Base, the chaos in city after city played out on monitors in the command center. Generals and soldiers alike stared in disbelief at the giantess that had taken over their city. Phones rang off the hook as government officials scrambled for a response. The military forces, who had been scrambling to respond to the monster's attack, had now turned their attention to the new giantess in their midst. Helicopters circled overhead, their spotlights illuminating Sakura's every move through the smoke-grazed sky. One general, a grizzled veteran with a steely gaze, barked out orders.
"We have to take her down before she brings more of those things here!" the general said.
“Huh? More of those things? But she’s been crushing them step after step!” the soldier said.
“It doesn’t matter, sonny! Do you see how big she is!? The Tokyo Tower is like a toothpick to her now, or it will be soon! Already thousands of lives have been taken due to that girl’s carelessness!” the general barked back. The room buzzed with urgency as tacticians and military strategists pored over maps and footage, trying to find a weakness in the giantess's form. They discussed weaponry capable of reaching her and the potential dangers of attacking someone who could level whole cities with a casual gesture. The air was thick with tension, the scent of fear and adrenaline mingling with the sterile scent of the military complex. With her bratty new attitude and immense size, she has become more dangerous than the monsters she was fighting. The general finally slammed his hand on the table.
“I see no alternative, men. We must hit her with everything we’ve got! Deploy all forces immediately… procedures be damned!” the general said.
The first wave of jets streaked through the sky, their afterburners painting the horizon with plumes of smoke as they approached the city. They fired missiles that arced towards Sakura like a swarm of angry bees. She watched them with curiosity, her eyes narrowing as she swiped her hand through the air. The missiles changed course upon getting close to the giantess, as the wave of her hand caused a violently strong wing rivaling that of a super typhoon. The missiles veered off into the distance, exploding harmlessly. The pilots' screams of frustration and fear were faint whispers to her. The jets grew bolder, some diving down to strafe her with machine gun fire, their bullets peppering her giant form. Sakura chuckled, the sound of which echoed through the land like a tsunami of mirth.
“I can’t believe you little military mosquitoes are even bothering to try and shoot me down. You’re only annoying me and sealing your ultimate fate.” Sakura taunted the jets. She reached up and plucked one from the sky with her finger, holding it in front of her face like a curious child examining a bug. With a flick of her wrist, she sent it spiraling into the ground, where it exploded in a shower of sparks and debris.
The tanks rolled in, their cannons firing in unison. The shells struck her legs like pesky mosquitoes, leaving little more than nanoscopic divots in her flesh. She giggled, the vibrations of her laughter making buildings sway. With a playful stomp, she sent them flying like toys, their metal hulls crumpling on impact with the asphalt. The sound of their destruction was a symphony of twisted metal and shattered dreams.
Battleships approached the shore, their guns trained on the colossal menace that had become their city's skyline. The shells they fired were like shooting stars, arcing through the air before disappearing into her body. Sakura watched with a twisted smile as they vanished, the explosions looking more like faint dots drawn on a piece of paper. The ships seemingly diminished as she approached, their turrets spinning frantically as they tried to target her titanic waistline. The battleships continued to open fire, their shells tearing through the air like fiery serpents. But Sakura's reflexes had become those of a god, and she swiped them away with her arms, sending them arching back towards the ships. The vessels rocked with the impact, their hulls cracking and breaking apart as the very projectiles they had sent to destroy her rebounded with a fury they had not anticipated. The ocean churned with the chaos, waves crashing against the shore as the ships listed and sank beneath the surface. Meanwhile, another jet streaked by, its pilot's voice crackling over the radio.
"This is Bravo-Two-Niner, engaging the giantess!" The tiny plane was a mere gnat to her, and she watched with detached amusement as it fired a barrage of missiles. With a flick of her hand, she sent them hurtling back towards their source. The pilot's screams were lost in the roar of the engines as his own weaponry tore through his aircraft, a fiery explosion marking his end. The jets circled overhead, their missiles streaking towards her like a hail of fiery rain. With a casual swipe of her arm, she sent them spiraling away, the explosions they caused lighting up the sky in a deadly ballet. Her laughter grew louder, the very air vibrating with the power of her amusement. The military had no idea what they were dealing with.
Tomoyo’s perspective
It felt surreal, my heart racing with a mix of excitement and trepidation. Today was unlike any other. My friend Sakura now stood at an astonishing height of 2 kilometers, a colossal figure against the city skyline. Even from the distance I stood from my towering friend, I could see the determination etched on her face, framed by the shimmering light of her magical staff. My hands trembled slightly as I adjusted the zoom, capturing her poised silhouette… the girl who had always fought for what was right, now transformed into a goddess bent on doing whatever she pleased. I watched as jets whizzed through the air, their engines roaring like angry beasts. They zoomed toward her, armed with weapons designed to stop anything that posed a threat. I could feel the tension in the air, thick and suffocating. But as I recorded, I saw Sakura raise her arms and gave the jets a good whack sending them spiraling out of control. The heat coming from the exhaustions of these vehicles was incredible, even as the power of Sakura’s Shield card protected me from the flying debris.
I gasped as I caught the first glimpses of battle on my camcorder. The next batch of jets fired their missiles, but they exploded harmlessly against her clothes. I could hardly believe my eyes. Sakura, my sweet, brave friend, was facing the full might of the military… and she was unyielding. Every explosion sent tremors through the ground as I fought to maintain my balance and keep the camera tight on her. Then came the tanks. Their wheels churned violently as they rolled toward her, cannon barrels aimed directly at the magnificent girl who towered over them. I could hardly contain my emotions as I danced out of the way of the tanks and captured the sight of her stepping forward with the grace of a dancer. With a swift motion, she kicked one of the tanks aside as if it were nothing more than a toy. The rest of the tanks crumpled under her boot, the ground shaking with a resounding crash. I couldn't help but smile through my happy tears… she was incredible, unstoppable!
“Go, Sakura!” I cheered. I could just see her smile, knowing she could hear my words even as she concentrated on eliminating the newest threats to her. In that moment, it wasn't just the grandeur of her size that amazed me; it was her new demeanor. She wasn’t as careful as she previously was at 150 meters tall, but you know what? That didn’t seem to bother me. For some strange reason… I like this new fangled Goddess Sakura.
As the battleships joined the fray, launching salvos of cannon fire toward her, I watched in awe as she simply laughed, her voice a thunderous echo in the air. She unleashed a fierce kick that sprayed a good chunk of the ocean outward, sending the ships spiraling away. Her power surged, and with it came a newfound confidence that made her glow. I zoomed in, capturing the look on her face… a mixture of joy and determination. This was the Sakura I had always admired, the one who refused to back down no matter the odds. The tears streamed down my face, a blend of pride and disbelief. How was it possible for one person to embody so much strength after using just one card like the Big card?
And then, speaking of the Big card, I heard her utter some words that made my heart flutter with joy, especially when she pulled the Big card out of her outfit again.
“Alright, I’m done playing around. Perhaps this will show you runts who’s really in charge here. BIIIIIIIIIG!!!” Sakura said as she screamed that magic word and slammed her wand down on the card. I could hardly believe my eyes as I watched her begin to grow even larger. The numbers on my highly advanced camcorder display, thanks of course to my Mom’s company… I wonder if it was still standing after all of this, barely registered the change, my mind struggling to comprehend what I was witnessing. Ten kilometers tall! The very air around us seemed to shimmer with her expanding power. In that moment, I could feel the city dwarfed beneath her colossal form. I could hear the distant gasps of people below, the panic of the military escalating into chaos as they realized their efforts were futile. I couldn’t help but marvel at the contrast… the once-ordinary schoolgirl now a giant, radiant warrior.
Everywhere I turned, I captured footage of her magnificence… her clothes flowing like rivers, her eyes sparkling with magic and mischief, her laughter echoing like a song in the sky. This wasn’t just a battle; it was a spectacle, a testament to the power of friendship and courage. I knew that this was a moment that would change everyone’s lives forever. As I continued to film, I could see the tides turning. The military, once so determined, began to retreat. Tanks rolled backward, jets veered off course, and the battleships, once ominous in the distance, turned away in defeat. It was as if her presence alone had the power to instill fear into the hearts of those who wished her harm.
End Tomoyo’s perspective
While Sakura remained unfazed by the military’s attacks, she was getting annoyed by their persistence despite their attacks not even leaving a dent on her skin or clothes. She decided to end this once and for all.
“Alright, I’m done playing around. Perhaps this will show you runts who’s really in charge here. BIIIIIIIIIG!!!” Sakura said as she screamed that magic word and slammed her wand down on the card. The city watched in horror as the giantess grew once more, the Big card's magic coursing through her veins, making her swell to 10 kilometers tall. She towered over Tokyo, her form casting a shadow that blotted out the sun. The buildings looked like tiny Lego pieces, the people smaller than ants scurrying to escape her colossal silhouette. The military's attempts to harm her were laughable, their bullets and missiles bouncing off her skin as if it were made of rubber. The days of giant monster attacks and Sakura’s kind and caring nature seemed like a distant memory now. Sakura’s transformation was essentially complete. She felt like a titaness of unlimited power who could do whatever she pleased.
With a cheeky smirk, Sakura lowered herself onto her knees, the impact sending a wave of destruction across the city. Skyscrapers crumpled like paper, and the earth split open as if in worship of her newfound size. The military's efforts grew even more desperate as they realized the futility of their attacks. They were nothing more than tiny specks to her now, their weapons as ineffective as a child's toys. Her hand, now a mountainous appendage, descended upon the cityscape like the paw of a giant playful cat. Her fingers flexed, the joints popping with the sound of distant thunder. She playfully tapped her fingers against the ground, the tremors sending cars and people flying. The military scurried like ants, trying to regroup and reassess their strategy, but Sakura was in complete control.
“Oh no! Watch out for Fingerzilla! Teeheehee! I hope you’re filming this, Tomoyo, wherever you are!” Sakura shouted.
“Oh yes, Sakura! I’m all over it!” Tomoyo’s voice echoed inside Sakura’s ear, the Shield card allowing the two to continue to communicate and, most importantly, keep her best friend from harm unlike the thousands of others who were meeting a grizzly fate somewhere under the giga Sakura’s body.
With a giggle, she curled her hand into a fist and pretended to pummel the city, the ground shaking with each playful hit. The buildings crumpled and folded like paper under her touch, the air thick with dust and debris. The sound of her blows was like a symphony of destruction, each impact resonating through the city like a bass note played by the gods. Her eyes gleamed with a mix of power and delight as she watched the tiny specks of the military forces scurry about. With a thought, she could squish them like bugs beneath her giant boots. Instead, she decided to play along, her fingers stretching out like the tentacles of a giant octopus. They writhed and danced, knocking down buildings and sending vehicles flying like a child playing with a toy set. Sakura laughed all the way through. People didn’t know what was worse… her thunderous laughter or just how big she had grown and how even the flaps on her clothing were causing untold damage to the cities.
Her forehead glistened with sweat, each drop as large as ten swimming pools linked together. As they fell from her face, they hit the city like meteors, sending geysers of water and debris into the air. The people below screamed and ran for their lives, trying to escape the deluge that threatened to sweep them away. The saliva that dripped from her mouth was like a river of molten lava, setting fire to everything it touched, leaving a trail of destruction that grew wider with every passing second. The city burned and flooded, the sounds of screams and sirens mixing with the roar of her laughter. The military had ceased their attacks, their weapons now silent. They could do nothing but watch in horror as Sakura's power seemingly grew, her giggles turning into thunderous laughs that shook the very foundation of the city.
Her eyes swept over the city, a cyclopean gaze that could see every inch of the destruction she had wrought. Each blink sent a hurricane-force gust of wind that sent people tumbling, cars skidding, and buildings swaying precariously. The eye itself was a planet unto itself, the iris a swirling maelstrom of color that reflected the chaos below. The buildings looked like a child's toy city, flattened and broken beneath her. The streets were rivers of debris, the cars like toys tossed aside in a fit of rage. She saw the people, so tiny and fragile, their lives forever changed by her titanic body. Yet she felt no regret, only a wild exhilaration that seemed to pulse through her with every heartbeat. At this size, Sakura’s new personality fully takes over. She’s no longer fighting to protect the city; instead, she takes pleasure in tormenting it. Smirking, Sakura stands back up and stomps through the city, crushing everything beneath her. Buildings crumble, vehicles are flattened, and the once bustling city becomes a wasteland under her feet. The military’s attacks become nothing more than an amusing annoyance to her. She plays with them, smashing jets and tanks as if they were toys. As she continues her rampage, her once kind and caring personality is nowhere to be seen… Sakura has become a towering menace. Tomoyo continued to film the whole thing… even making sure to capture the desperate cries of people pleading to the heavens for mercy.
In the distance, she heard the roar of jets and the whine of a missile launch. One look underneath these jets told her the government had decided to escalate. They had sent their biggest weapon, a nuclear warhead, hoping it would be the end of her.
“Oooooooh… now they’re getting serious.” Sakura said with a devilish smirk on her face. The nuclear missile streaked towards her, a tiny speck in the vastness of her vision. It grew larger, a fiery dot in the sky, and she watched it with a curious detachment. The explosion was a brilliant flash of light, the heat washing over her like a sunburn. The shockwave hit her, and she felt it ripple through her body, her skin glowing very briefly with the power of the blast. But she remained unscathed, not a single hair out of place. The buildings around her, however, did not fare so well. They crumpled like paper in a child's fist, the cityscape twisted into a nightmare of steel and ash. And this… well… this did not sit well with the goddess. Her laughter grew darker, her grin turning into a snarl. The government had underestimated her, thinking a mere nuclear bomb could harm her. The fools. The rage grew within her, the tip of her wand glowing a bright red. With a moan that shook the city to its core, she swiped her wand like a sword through the air. The jets that once carried the nuclear bomb exploded in mid-air, a cascade of fireworks that brought no joy to the hearts of those watching below.
Her fist clenched tight, and she slammed it into the ground, the tremor from the impact sending the entire city toppling like dominos.
"Enough! You dare to use such a weapon on your own people?!" Sakura bellowed, her voice resonating through the city and well beyond, shattering windows and cracking concrete. Sakura's eye narrowed into a furious slit as she watched the destruction wrought by the nuclear blast.
"This ends now." she murmured, her voice low and dangerous. What few people that remained in the vicinity (including Tomoyo) mostly gasped in horror as they watched the goddess pull out the Big card yet again.
“BIIIIIIIIIIG!!!” Sakura said as she slammed her wand down on the card. The air around her shimmered and grew thick with magic, almost bending reality before everyone’s eyes, as she grew again, swelling to a monstrous 50 kilometers tall. Cities were nothing more than mere ant farms beneath her, and she could see the entirety of Japan laid out before her like a buffet of power and potential. Her skin grew tougher, more resilient, and of course her clothes and wand grew to match her size, a blade of pure energy that could cleave through mountains.
Mount Fuji, the sacred symbol of Japan, now lay before her, looking more like a molehill than an actual mountain. With a playful smirk, she bent her legs and lowered herself onto its peak, the mountain groaning under her weight. The top flattened into a makeshift throne, and she sat, her legs dangling over the side, one arm resting on her upraised knee. She looked down upon the cities, her heart racing with excitement. The world below was a patchwork quilt of light and shadow, the sprawling cities stretching out like a buffet of potential. Her fingers twitched with the urge to pluck the tiny buildings from their foundations and rearrange them as she saw fit. The wind whispered through her hair, carrying the scent of distant fires and the cries of now millions who had lost their homes under her boots. With a wicked laugh, Sakura pointed at the military bases that still dared to shoot at her.
"Is that all you've got?" she taunted, her voice thundering across the landscape. The bases trembled at her words, the very earth seeming to bow before her might. She watched with a cruel smile as more missiles streaked towards her, harmless as sparks. With a flick of her wrist, she sent them back, a fiery rain that painted the sky with a macabre display of power. The bases exploded in a symphony of fire and smoke, the ground rumbling as if to applaud her dominance. The military forces scattered like ants, their puny weapons forgotten in the face of her wrath. She grew bored of their feeble efforts, her thoughts turning to the cities that sprawled beneath her. With as little as one or two steps from her boots, she reduced entire cities to dust and rubble. The screams of the people grew distant, lost in the roar of her amusement.
"You think your toys can harm me?" she jeered, her voice a cacophony that echoed across the entire country. Her fingers danced in the air before she rained them down upon the military installations like bolts of lightning. Each strike left a crater the size of an entire city, the earth smoldering and crackling under the onslaught. The soldiers, once proud and defiant, now cowered in their bunkers, praying for a deliverance that would not come.
Suddenly, the sky above her was pierced by a beam of pure, white-hot light, brighter than the sun itself. It struck her in the chest, the impact sending a shockwave through her body that could be felt across Japan. The beam was the last ditch effort of humanity, a weapon of mass destruction from a satellite well above the Earth that had been kept in reserve, never to be used except in the direst of circumstances. For a moment, the cities were bathed in the intense glow of the satellite's weapon. The beam was a sizzling hot poker searing through the atmosphere, leaving a trail of ionized air in its wake. It hit Sakura, and the world below held its breath, waiting for the end. The light was so brilliant it washed out everything around it, leaving only a stark silhouette of the giantess against the sky.
But when the light dissipated and the smoke cleared, Sakura remained standing, untouched and unfazed. She threw her head back and laughed, the sound echoing across entire cities. The earth trembled with each peal of mirth, buildings groaned and shifted, and the survivors of the carnage below cowered in fear. Her laugh was a declaration of dominance, a mocking echo that rang through the shattered streets and the hearts of those who had dared to challenge her.
“Hohoho… a noble attempt by your feeble government, but as you can see, not even the eye in the sky can save you from total annihilation! You want your world so thoroughly destroyed? I’ll be more than happy to comply.” Sakura’s voice boomed.
With the Big card still in hand, she felt the power surging through her, the energy coursing through her veins like a river of fire. It was intoxicating, a feeling she had never experienced before. With a flick of her wrist, she activated the card again.
“BIIIIIIIIIIG!!!” Sakura screamed as she grew again, her body stretching and expanding until she could see the planet curving just out in the distance. At 143 kilometers tall, she was a monolith of power, a symbol of humanity's folly in trying to contain or defeat her. Cities spread out like she was looking down on a map, the buildings mere splinters of plastic and the people too small to see. She took a step, her giant boot coming down with a thud that sent waves of destruction rippling through the landscape. Entire cities disappeared under her, the earth groaning with the weight of each step. The horizon bent before her as she strode across the country, the very fabric of reality seeming to stretch and warp around her colossal form.
“Oh wow… Sakura. I’m actually in tears here. I didn’t think you could grow so unbelievably big!” Tomoyo said.
“Keep recording, Tomoyo. I’m only scratching the surface.” Sakura replied, pretending her friend was standing in front of her at the same enormous size. That was her only regret that she didn’t enlarge Tomoyo alongside her, and also Meiling and Syaoran… but they’re probably dead anyway.
Sakura kneeled down and her hand shot out, swiping across the region like the paw of an angry god. The tallest skyscrapers in all of Japan fell like dominos, their glass shattering into glittering rainstorms that glittered in the light of the fires she had set. Each movement of her body sent shockwaves through Japan, reducing the landscape to a wasteland of rubble and ash. Her breath was a tornado, her eyes the twin suns that brought only destruction. The government's final gambit had failed, their most powerful weapon but a mere tickle to her impenetrable skin. The beam had served only to fuel her growth, her power swelling until it was too vast to be contained. Cities galore were mere playthings in the hand of a giantess now, the people below mere specks of dust that could be blown away by her whims. Her eyes danced with malicious glee as she watched the chaos unfold, the Big card's power pulsing through her veins like liquid fire. Her thoughts turned to the world beyond Japan, which now laid in near total ruin. With a step that sent tremors around the globe, she began her march towards China, her colossal silhouette casting a shadow over the horizon. The Great Wall of China crumbled like dust before her, its ancient stones no match for the immense weight of her boots. She stepped over the debris, her eyes scanning the sprawling cities beyond. The Chinese military, once proud and formidable, now looked like ant soldiers in the face of her overwhelming might. They scurried and shouted, their tanks and jets buzzing about like annoying flies. She swiped at them, her hand sending a shockwave that leveled Beijing and beyond.
Her stride grew more purposeful as she marched through Asia, reducing Taiwan to rubble with a casual stomp or two. The skyscrapers of Hong Kong groaned and toppled under the weight of her footfall, the once bustling streets now silent except for the distant wail of sirens and the screams of the dying. She felt a strange thrill, a dark joy in her power, a feeling she had never experienced before the Big card had changed her. The military forces of each country she encountered were like a parade of ants, their weapons nothing but a gentle tickle against her now-invincible flesh and clothing. Tanks fired in vain, their shells disappearing into her without a trace. Jets buzzed around her, their missiles exploding in a symphony of fireworks that she swatted away with the same ease she had once swiped at pesky flies. Heck, they even exploded trying to get too far high up in the atmosphere as her body seemingly faded towards outer space.
Her boots left a trail of destruction as she walked, each step a declaration of war against the very land itself. The earth groaned and trembled beneath her, cities crumbling into dust as she moved. Her hands, now the size of entire smaller countries, swiped through the air with the grace of a ballet dancer, yet with the power of a giant meteor strike. Buildings toppled, bridges snapped, and the landscape was reshaped with every playful gesture. Her breath was a hurricane, a force of nature that could flatten forests and capsize ships. It blew across the land, sending cars and trucks tumbling like toys in a tornado. The heat of her breath could melt steel, turning tanks into molten puddles that cooled into twisted sculptures of futility. The military forces that had once been so formidable now looked like ants before the gaze of a child with a magnifying glass. The entire world watched in horror, their screens flickering with images of the giantess's rampage. Panic spread faster than wildfire, the news broadcasts a cacophony of fear and disbelief. Yet, amidst the chaos, there was something mesmerizing about her power, something that drew people to their windows despite the danger. Her movements were fluid and graceful, each step a dance of destruction that seemed choreographed by the gods themselves.
Sakura stomped through Europe, the Eiffel Tower bending like a straw under her boot, the Colosseum reduced to a pile of dust in the blink of an eye. The Sphinx lost its head, rolling away like a bowling ball as she sailed over Egypt. Her shadow darkened the Sahara, her laughter shaking the pyramids. North America trembled as she planted her boot over New York City, the skyscrapers swaying like grass in a breeze. She tried to pick up the Empire State Building… only for it to crumble between her fingers. She sent the debris hurtling into the Atlantic Ocean, the splash visible from space. The Statue of Liberty crumbled like a cookie upon the slightest touch from her clothing. The Grand Canyon yawned wider as she took a playful jump across it, her landing sending tremors that shook the very core of the Earth and ripped California off the west coast of the United States.
South America crumpled under her whims, the Amazon rainforest igniting with the heat of her breath, turning lush greenery into an inferno. The Andes trembled as she trampled all over them, reducing the majestic peaks to rubble under her giant stride. Her laughter echoed through the valleys, a sound of doom that could not be silenced.
Yet, as she looked upon the smoldering ruins of civilization, the thrill of destruction began to wane. Cities once so mighty and towering were now just toys she had broken. The people, once so vibrant and numerous, were now mere fleeing dots in the vast sea of desolation she had created if they hadn’t been crushed already like billions and billions had. The taste of fear and power grew stale on her tongue, and a gnawing emptiness began to replace the exhilaration she had felt. In a final, desperate attempt to satiate her insatiable hunger for power, Sakura raised the Big card once more.
“BIIIIIIIIIIIIIG!!!” she screamed. The air around her shimmered and stretched as she grew, her body elongating into the stratosphere, her head brushing the stars. The Earth itself was now but a speck in her hand, a toy she had outgrown. The sky grew darker, the stars closer, as she ascended into the heavens. The air grew thin, and the atmosphere was but a mere veil to her, the vacuum of space a silent witness to her unbridled might. Her heart thundered in her chest, each beat resonating through the void as she took her place among the stars. Sakura swung her head around almost in dizziness. She didn’t think of herself as Sakura Kinomoto anymore. She was now a goddess whose power had eclipsed the very cosmos. The continents of what was left of Earth looked like a child's scribble on the surface of a balloon, the oceans like shimmering puddles of sloshed around paint.
With a yawn that stretched the fabric of the universe, Sakura inhaled a breath so vast it could have filled a galaxy. Yet, she felt no satisfaction in her newfound size, no joy in the power she had grown so accustomed to wielding. Her eyes searched the horizon, looking for something, anything that could fill the gaping maw of boredom that now consumed her. Her breath was drawn in through her nose, and with it, the entirety of Earth's atmosphere. The planet's oceans boiled and evaporated, the land rising up to meet her in a desperate, futile attempt to escape. Cities crumbled into dust, continents shrank to the size of grains of sand, and what little life that remained was drawn into the black hole that was her nostril. The world she had once called home was now a mere snack, a fleeting morsel of power consumed without thought.
The Earth was gone, a mere memory in the vastness of space. Only the moon remained, a silent sentinel to the destruction she had wrought. It hovered in the void, a pallid reminder of what once was. Sakura blinked, the planet's absence leaving an empty space in the universe.
“Sakura… I can’t believe you destroyed the whole Earth.” Tomoyo said, her voice echoing in Sakura’s ear. Sakura looked around, desperate to find her friend, but she was far too big to see any other lifeforms in front of her. She could only assume she was floating out there somewhere amongst the chunks of the planet the two once called home.
“Tomoyo… I… I can’t believe it either. Even your Mom is…” Sakura said.
“I know, Sakura, but it couldn’t be helped. You had to do what you could to rid the planet of those who would destroy its natural beauty.” Tomoyo said.
“That’s… oddly reassuring of you, my friend.” Sakura said.
Her eyes searched the stars, and she remembered that the universe was much, much larger than she had ever imagined. There were worlds out there, endless in their variety and beauty, and she had been content to stomp on the one she knew like a child in a sandbox. A spark of curiosity ignited in her heart, and she reached into her outfit, pulling out the Fly card. It glowed with a gentle, inviting light, beckoning her to explore the vastness that lay before her.
“FLY!” Sakura shouted. Her wand stretched out and grew wings, which Sakura sat on like a witch sitting on a broom.
“Well, Tomoyo, I hope you can keep up… and have enough space on that memory card of yours! Hahahaha!” Sakura laughed as she took off flying towards the red dot in the distance, which was actually the planet Mars. The stars grew closer, their light twinkling and dancing as the mighty Sakura soared through the emptiness of space. Tomoyo, meanwhile, was dragged along thanks to the increased power of Sakura’s magic due to her tera-sized body.
“Ooooooooh… this will be my most epic movie ever!” Tomoyo shouted.
