Chapter Text
I don't understand why people dislike or hate Maisie Lockwood. In Jurassic World Dominion, I've seen comments blaming her, saying things like, "It's Maisie's fault they had to go through that all over again!" But realistically, it was bound to happen. Her kidnapping was inevitable from the moment Claire and Owen (illegally?) took her in for her safety. If she hadn't run to the bridge, Dodgson would have found another way to take her.
And about the "Claire isn't her mother!" argument-technically, she's not. But let's be real: any teenager in her situation might say the same thing out of frustration. Who wouldn't be mad after being kept away from the outside world for four years? If I were in Maisie's position, l'd understand their intentions but still be upset. It's human.
Plus, her journey in Dominion revolves around her identity. She wasn't just rebelling; she was searching for answers about her origins, why she was created, and whether she could live a normal life. That desire to know herself is universal. Maisie's actions weren't malicious-they were driven by her need to understand her place in the world.
