Work Text:
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
---
The Captain walked down the streets of New London, a pillar of smoke rising from The Generator into the sky, the crater the city was built into gleaming with the light of civilization, and currently bustling with the joy of Christmas time. Just a few months ago, the people of the city had doubted whether they would even live to see December, to not only still be living, but warm, fed, and safe in a growing city...it was a welcome miracle that seemed to have energized the city into a buzz.
Having just left his fourth Christmas party of the evening, the Captain waved hello to passing New Londoners, many drunkenly belting carols while staggering down the cobblestones. The Public House was stuffed to the rafters with patrons, many toasts being given to the City, the Generator, and the Captain himself. It was hard not to get a big ego, but the Captain was trying his hardest, responding to each grateful blessing with a nonchalant wave and smile. They had, after all, only pulled through together. He truly believed that, for even now as the city celebrated, the cooks bustled in the cookhouses to churn out Christmas soups, the automatons with legs adorned by children's decorations churned out lumber, steel, and coal to keep the heart of industry beating, and hunters airships soared over greenhouses as food was scraped from the frost to feed a growing metropolis.
The Generator was adorned with bulbs and garlands, taking the spot of a tree in the middle of the city as it was hard to find any trees not encased in ice these days. The Captain's house was on the north side of the Generator, a light on in the upstairs window and the Captain smiled as he knew who he was coming home to.

Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
---
The Captain entered his warm home, sighing in relief as he took off his jacket and boots, taking a brief moment to go through the pile of letters on his desk, some disgruntled reports of new building plans for the city, most Christmas greetings from the rest of New London celebrating. Not wanting to read through all of them tonight, he merely sorted them into their respective piles before climbing the stairs to his bedroom. Knocking on the door, a familiar voice called out "One second!" and the Captain chuckled as he leaned against the solid oak. "Oh? Have a Christmas surprise for me do you? Let me guess...a Christmas ham!"
The woman on the other side of the door laughed as the faint sound of clothes rustling made their way through. "Better, it's Turkey with a side of cranberry sauce!" The pair laughed as they reminisced on all the old foods that had gone extinct along with the rest of the world, the actual Christmas dinner still including mashed potatoes farmed from the greenhouses with a center dish of polar bear flank instead of the old animals they had been used to. "Alright, come in!"
The Captain entered the room and his heart beat faster at the sight. His beloved Tiffany, hair like precious coal and eyes framed by round glasses, was topless as she leaned against his bed, her belt weighed down just enough by her lantern to show the narrowing V of her hips as well as the crevice of her belly button.
"Hey there Captain..." Tiffany said, offering him another glass of her drink as he stepped forward, the faint rumbling of the Generator shaking through the floorboards as he took a sip. "Mmmm, this moonshine actually tastes good." "That's cuz it's not. I took on a few extra engineering shifts to buy an old bottle of wine, French-made I believe." "Is that why you're still dressed for work?" Tiffany smirked as she leaned back farther, the Captain choking a bit as he struggled to maintain his composure. "Well, if you call this dressed, I'd love to see what you call naked~"

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say: Are you married?
We'll say: No man,
But you can do the job
When you're in town.
---
Tiffany let out a soft sigh as her clothes were slowly stripped, the Captain kissing all across her freckled shoulders as he discarded her jacket, her lantern the only light in the room on the nighstand. His lips traced down her chest, lingering on her chest as he kissed each dark brown nipple with the same tenderness he would a butterfly's wings. She moaned as her hands helped in tugging down her pants, her pubes neatly trimmed into the recognizable shape of a Christmas tree.
The Captain looked up at her with an exasperated smirk, Tiffany laughing as she spread her legs. "What? Your present is underneath it, isn't it?" Tiffany soon regretted her words as the Captain dove between her legs, his breath warming her womanhood as his tongue began to excavate the deepest parts of her. Tiffany moaned as her body shook, feeling warm despite her nudity as she ran her hands through the hair of the most powerful man in the city, possibly the world.
"Ohhh, Captain..." Tiffany gasped breathlessly, feeling briefly saddened as he pulled away but soon forgiving him as he moved up to kiss her neck, feeling him undressing himself before his hot, throbbing need rested on her skin.

Later on, we'll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we've made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
---
Snowflakes fell down onto New London, those near the generator melting before they hit the ground, creating a haze of fog and frost on the windows as the Captain rocked himself in and out of his love, Tiffany's legs wrapped around him as the two let each other hear their moans, gasps, and grunts of exertion.
Tiffany's hands ran up the Captain's face, cupping his cheeks and rugged beard, his eyes boring into her with relentless passion. It seemed to the engineer as though he pursued lovemaking with the same fervor as he did building New London, which was something she certainly wasn't going to complain about.
"Oh...mmmm! Captain...you feel so...warm..." Tiffany wrapped her arms and legs around her lover, kissing him deeply as the warmth of their bodies melted together, and soon the warmth spread deeper as the Captain shuddered and lodged himself deep inside her, letting his body's expression of love fill her insides.
---
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
Until the other kiddies knock him down.
---
The Captain sighed as he held Tiffany close, her breasts pressing against his side as she snuggled up beneath the covers, her skin damp with sweat and practically steamy. Her hair was a mess, her glasses crooked which he corrected with a finger, but she had never looked more beautiful. She sighed as she ran her hand up and down his chest, the two listening to the rumbling of the Generator and the cheerful laughs of children running through the streets.
"I hope I get pregnant," Tiffany whispered, the Captain feeling her pulse pounding despite her calm words. He raised one of her hands to his mouth and kissed it, closing his eyes as he took in the moment to taste her sweat, feel her heat, and smell her scent. "I hope so to."
"We haven't...talked about it..." she whispered, cuddling even closer as though she wanted to hug him so much they fused. "But...it feels...right. The city is safe, he or she would have an education, a future...all because of you." The Captain sighed with contentment as he squeezed her close. "You did your part too. The automatons you helped improve, I can't imagine the city without it." Tiffany smiled as her usual teasing streak returned. "Can't take a compliment can you?" The Captain laughed as he shut her up with a kiss, the two drifting off to sleep as the rest of the city celebrated throughout the night.
Christmas in New London was truly something wonderful.

When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the winter away,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Walking in a winter wonderland,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
