Chapter 16: Chapter 16

Chapter Text

Dean pulled into Sam's local firm office and he raced in after he parked, running into the place as Sam saw Dean. He knew that look. Dean was furious as he trembled and put Raven's phone down on the counter. He sighed as he couldn't stop pacing as he waited for Sam to research it and Sam looked up from his laptop. "Dean, bro.. sit down. You need to calm the hell down too. We're going to get the police involved and all of that.. you're not gonna kill the guy... you can't get locked up. She needs you now more than ever.. don't be stupid." He said firmly as he typed away, clearing his throat and he couldn't believe Ash got ahold of her. He was gonna make sure he paid for what he did to her and for being that low of a man. Dean threw his hands up at Sam as he grimaced, "Would you kindly just go to hell... You don't understand. He is probably some psycho! He could take her across the country and then what?! Then she is gone forever!" Dean yelled as he slammed his fist down on Sam's desk, causing it to shake and he felt agitated as he stormed outside while he waited. Sam didn't think much of it as he soon got a ding, noting she was in fact at the old house. He rushed outside and told Dean, Dean grabbed her phone back from him and sped off back off to the house. He was determined this time, his pistol on his side always as he didn't care. He didn't care what Sam said. He knew he would soon be joining him but that didn't stop him from giving Dean a heads-up. That did the stop Dean from being prepared for the worst. He didn't care if it came down to killing him if he had to.

Ash soon stumbled as he stood back up, hearing her scream discomforted him he sighed. He wanted to talk to her like he used to. He wanted to ramble about everything that bothered him and how he was never wrong. But she wasn't speaking to him. His heart broke sort of because she wasn't, he had picked up on that and he went to the bathroom. He went and got out a sleeping pill, he crushed it up as he put in a bottle of water that he had already had in the bathroom. He came over to her and smiled, looking at her as if he wanted to have some fun with her but knew there was no way he could do it while she was awake. "Here's some water. I want you to stay hydrated.. but, I wish you'd talk to me.. I missed you. I can untie you once I feel you won't go anywhere. Can't have Dean showing back up here." He said as he got closer to her and forced her mouth open as he poured the water down. He soon stopped so he wouldn't choke her up. He felt a thrill when he was in control of her.. as messed up as it sounded.

Raven gazes out the window, her mind drifting to thoughts of safety and the comforting presence of Dean. She longs to be in his embrace, feeling secure and shielded from the chaos surrounding her. Deep down, she knows that Dean will likely blame himself for her abduction, a thought that weighs heavily on her heart. Uncertainty gnaws at her as she wonders if Ash has managed to keep a tracker on her, a lingering fear that adds to her distress. The sound of Ash entering the bathroom pulls her from her thoughts, and she instinctively shakes her head, recalling the drowsiness that follows his tainted offerings of water. As he forces the liquid down her throat, panic surges within her, and she fights against the ropes binding her. With a sudden burst of defiance, she kicks him hard, aiming for his vulnerable spot, desperate to break free. Despite her efforts to resist swallowing, the water slips down her throat, and she feels its effects beginning to take hold. Gasping for breath, she confronts Ash with a fierce determination, warning him of the consequences he will face when Dean arrives. She knows that Dean will stop at nothing to rescue her, and the thought of Ash's impending doom fuels her resolve. "You better make sure you drink whatever alcohol you have because you dickwad is going to die as soon as Dean Winchester gets here, especially after what he sees what you done to me he will do anything to get me back. Unless you rather deal with the police either way I wouldn't have to deal with anymore," she declares, her voice heavy with the weight of her situation.

Ash fell to the ground as he felt her kick him, he was agitated as he didn't want her to make him angry and he stood back up shaking his head as he heard her words about Dean. He chuckled as he listened, he became nervous as he wasn't sure if Dean was nearby or not. He had no idea if he was going to be severely injured or if he was in the clear. He sighed as pulled out more of his cigarettes and he just chain-smoked before he came closer to her as he grabbed another rope from his dresser drawer. He bound her legs together as he then crouched down as h held her face to him. He kissed her lips roughly as he held her face, he then slapped her before he decided to duct tape her mouth closed. He figured he would have to please himself somehow, even if it wasn't exactly how he wanted. He sat in front of her on the ground as he pulled out the half quart of tequila, he waited for her to get drowsy as he drank on it. "You're full of shit, you know that? You know damn well I can outpower Dean. He ain't gonna do nothing to me. He acts like he is all big and bad all the time. Don't sit here and defend that scum bag... I don't know what you see in him. You are a piece of work."

Sam was soon speeding along with the cop cars heading toward Raven's old home. Dean was already miles ahead as he turned onto the exit finally to get to the house. His heart was racing a million miles a minute as he felt like he was gonna be sick. He couldn't imagine what Ash had done already and the thought of it just made him feel uneasy as he continued along the road. Finally, he was turning into the quaint neighborhood that didn't house many as it had land kind of in between each house. Perfect for Ash to torture and treat her as he pleased. Dean waited patiently for Sam to appear with the police, so he could storm in first so he did not be wrong to shoot or hurt him. He knew he had the right to all along, but he told Sam he would wait.. he knows how impulsive he can get himself.

Raven finds herself in a desperate situation as he binds her legs, inching closer to her face. In a reflexive act of defiance, she shuts her eyes tightly and turns her head away, but her resistance is met with a kiss sending a wave of panic. Anger flares within her as he seals her mouth with duct tape, rendering her unable to voice her thoughts or defend herself and Dean. She shakes her head in frustration, fully aware that the mere mention of Dean's name instills fear in him, a fact that gives her a glimmer of hope. As she reclines her head back, a sense of drowsiness threatens to overtake her, but she fights against it, knowing all too well that he has a history of taking advantage of her vulnerability while she sleeps. The sound of a car pulling up outside jolts Raven from her thoughts, and her heart races, hoping it might be Dean or the police coming to her rescue. Despite her frantic attempts to free herself from her restraints, her efforts feel futile, and her muffled screams are barely audible. The tape constricts her voice, but in her mind, she clings to the image of Dean, longing for the comfort of his embrace. Tears stream down her cheeks as she yearns for his presence, desperate for him to come and save her from this nightmare. The thought of Dean is her only solace, fueling her determination to endure and fight against the darkness surrounding her.

Dean was tapping his leg nervously as he watched the house, he was completely on edge as he felt like he needed to race in there and save her. He was sick of waiting on Sammy, so he took matters into his own hands. He grabbed his pistol from the glove box and made sure it was loaded. Once he did he opened his car door and closed it slowly, as he went around to the back door so he could sneak in that way. Figuring Ash wouldn't be smart enough to have it locked. He tried and it was to his disadvantage, he frowned as he did and saw the window open to the bathroom that was open the last time they had come here. He saw it was within climbable range and he smiled as he knew it was a good way in. Dean put his gun on his side as he climbed in slowly, his old bones as he tried not to groan too loudly as he made his way in. His shoulder was slightly sore as he climbed over the window sill, his heart racing as he could feel the tension in the whole house. He gradually made his way along the bathroom as he saw empty candy wrappers and drug residue on the once-decorated counter that in the bathroom was for storage it seemed. Dean shook his head as he made it to the hallway, seeing the light on in the bedroom he figured they were in there. He shot Sam a quick text explaining to ease up and not come with lights on. That it would draw attention since he was already in the house. He eases down the hallway as he holds his gun firmly, ready to shoot if he has to. He made it to the bedroom and stood to the side as the door was opened partially. Dean heard her screams as they were muffled majorly, him tensing at each one as she was probably bound to something or he was hurting her. He couldn't take it anymore as he stormed in, seeing her tied up onto the bed as he tackled Ash. Ash does not know what hit him at first but he then looked at Dean as he finally recognized it was him. He tried to throw a punch but Dean caught his fist as he did and he knocked him down with the back end of the pistol. Caused Ash to fall to the ground he held his now bleeding jaw as he felt it near the gash she gave him. He lunged himself at Dean but Dean ducked and held his gun at him. "Don't fucking make me do it. Don't make me kill you." He said as he came over and took the scarf out of his pocket he had brought her to be warm in, he tied it around her ears so it wouldn't be so loud. He then shot his leg to where it wouldn't cause any damage other than maybe partial paralysis. Ash screamed as he fell to the ground, his heart raced at the pain and he looked at Dean as he held his leg. "You bastard!" He said as he yelled and rocked back and forth.

Dean came quickly back over to Raven as he saw her and pulled out his pocket knife as he cut the rope that bound her. He saw the cigarette burns and Dean couldn't help but feel full of rage as he saw them. He saw the way the rope burned around her wrists from the tightness and Dean came over to Ash after he untied her and kicked him super fiercely in the bullet spot on his leg. Ash screamed again and then Dean looked at him with looks to kill. "Go fuck yourself. I don't care for your cries. You're lucky that I cannot kill you." He said as he spit on him. He came back over and crouched down in front of Raven as he took the duct tape placed over her mouth off gently and he pulled her into his arms. "Raven.. sweetheart, I'm here now." He said as he teared up when he looked at her eyes.

Raven sits in a state of tension, her eyes shut as she absorbs the cacophony of sounds surrounding her. The sudden noise of a car door slamming jolts her into awareness, and she opens her eyes to find Dean amid a chaotic confrontation. A wave of panic washes over her as she witnesses the escalating fight, her heart racing at the thought of Dean getting hurt or facing arrest. Desperate to intervene, she calls out his name, but her voice is drowned out by the chaos, leaving her feeling powerless. Bound and unable to intervene, Raven watches in despair as the scene unfolds before her. Her heart sinks as she sees Dean brandishing a gun at Ash, and she instinctively stops her struggles, fearing the worst. When the gun fires, she instinctively shuts her eyes, praying that she won't witness Ash's demise and the subsequent consequences for Dean. As he rushes to her side, cutting her free from her restraints, tears well up in her eyes. Overcome with emotion, she whispers his name and collapses into his embrace, allowing her tears to flow freely into his shoulder. "Dean," She says softly.

Dean felt her collapse onto his shoulder as he saw the tears falling from her eyes. He held her tightly to him as she spoke his name, his heartbeat rapidly as he felt the anxiety she had in her heart. "You got me, sweetie, it's okay. I'm right here." He said gently as he caressed her back, he couldn't help but take it all in as tears welled in his eyes also. His heart also broke for her as he was able to get his hands on her again.. he was glad he got there when he did or God knows where she would be.

Ash soon tried to stand and as he did, he tried to come closer to Dean so he could try and shoot him but when he aimed he missed causing the ricochet to graze Dean's as he felt the pierce slightly and causing a tiny gash along his thumb. He winched as he ground his teeth together, and he pulled away from Raven for a moment. He came back over as Ash fell back to the ground, kicking the gun out of his hand and holding it firmly. He held it to his head as he looked into Ash's devil-laced eyes. "If you ever try something like that again, I won't hesitate you evil son of a bitch. Don't tempt me." He said as Ash squirmed as Dean held him up against the edge of the wall with the gun to his head. He was sweating bullets at this point and shook his head as he did, "Please please Dean don't kill me please." He pleaded and Dean firmed his grip. "Then, don't tempt me you asshole. You're the one who just shot at me. I only shot your dumbass because you harmed her. You deserved it." He spat as he held him to the wall, grinning as he saw the police and Sam pulling in around the same time. They all stormed in and immediately yelled out. "Police! Come out where I can see you!" They said yelling as Sam followed, "My brother is in the one in the mechanic's shirt. Don't arrest him." He said and they nodded as they proceeded to the bedroom. Dean immediately pulled the gun down and put it to the side as he guided his way out of the room with Ash. They immediately handcuffed him as they saw him. Dean rushed back over to Raven after he wrapped his hand with the scarf. He pulled her back into his arms as he looked at her, "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere else?" He asked her worriedly as he kissed her temple.

Raven pressed her face into his shoulder, clutching his shirt tightly as if it were a lifeline. The fear of letting go loomed over her, threatening to shatter the fragile reality she clung to. If she released her grip, it would feel as though this nightmare was merely a figment of her imagination, a cruel dream from which she might awaken. Bound to the bed and facing the prospect of further torment at Ash's hands, she felt a profound sense of numbness wash over her. The effects of the sedatives coursing through her system left her weak and struggling to remain conscious, her body rebelling against her will. As she glanced up, her heart raced at the sight of Ash, and she gasped in horror as she noticed the gun aimed at Dean. The deafening sound of the gunshot sent her heart into a frenzy, and she watched in despair as Dean was grazed, her instinct to intervene thwarted by her frailty as she collapsed to the ground. From her position on the floor, Raven witnessed Dean's fierce determination as he pinned Ash against the wall, a testament to the lengths he would go to protect her. The arrival of the police brought a wave of relief, especially when she spotted Sam among them, signaling that the nightmare was nearing its end. Tears streamed down her face as she looked up at Dean, her heart swelling with gratitude and love. Shaking her head in disbelief, she managed a soft, weak smile, whispering, "It's finally over." The weight of her exhaustion, compounded by the sedatives, became too much to bear, and as she closed her eyes, the world around her faded into darkness, leaving behind the horrors she had endured.

Dean felt her drop into his arms as he heard her speak those words and his heart sank as she closed her eyes. He checked her pulse rapidly as he felt her heart still beating at a normal rate, knowing Ash he could have drugged her and Dean looked at the police officers as they eyeballed him. "She seems to be knocked out by some sort of sedative... but we will be in touch. We'll give you two a couple of weeks... don't worry bout this dude. He will be in custody till the hearing and we will get Sam to let you two know when you gotta come in for questioning. Please.. if she started seizing or something contact 911.." they said as their on the go medic checked her as he did state her breathing was at a normal pace also. Ash screamed and cried as they carried him away, Sam looked at Dean. "I'm going to follow the police to the station so I can build my case. Please call me later." He said as he headed out to go with them. Dean nodded as he followed Sam out the door with her in his arms. He placed her gently in the impala as he closed the door. He then came around got on the driver's side and pulled out heading back to his apartment. He glanced over at her every so often as he drove along the highway, finally getting off at the exit to his apartment complex. He pulled in and parked beside the truck he had got towed home. He ran up the steps and opened the door as he did, then came back down to carry her inside. As he did, he placed her onto his bed and he closed the front door behind her. He was able to take her shoes off, doctor up her burns, and completely put her into a pair of his favorite fuzzy socks and covered her up gently as he sat beside her in bed. Caressing her hair as he couldn't believe just how out she was. He wondered why he knocked her out like that - his heart and brain weren't sure if he wanted to know the real reason. Before he knew it, he was dozing off himself as her light sounds were enough to soothe any uneasy moment in him.

Raven rests her head against his chest as he lifts her into his arms, and in that moment, all she can see are vivid flashes of joyful memories shared with Dean. Now that she has finally escaped Ash's grasp, a sense of relief washes over her, knowing she will never again endure the pain he inflicted. The warmth of Dean's embrace reassures her that she is safe, and the shadows of her past begin to fade away. When she awakens, Raven plans to confide in Dean about the tracker Ash had placed on her, which was the reason he was able to find her. She feels a deep sense of regret for not realizing sooner that Ash was monitoring her movements, always ensuring she couldn't reach out for help or escape his control. This revelation weighs heavily on her, but she is determined to move forward, leaving the torment behind as she embraces a new beginning with Dean.

Dean was long into dreamland before he jolted awake, as he looked at her still there his heart warm as he saw her chest rising up and down as she took her breaths. His heartbeat calmed as he realized she was still lying beside him. He couldn't help but tear up more as he held her tighter to him as he looked at her leg that was bandaged from his burns. He was astounded by how Ash found her.. shocked by how smart he was. He lay there awake as he thought about all of the good moments and memories they shared along the way. He tried to think of what was coming and he wanted to confess his feelings to her. He wanted to make it known that he wanted her to be his and his only. That he wanted to protect her with everything in him. He didn't want her to have to worry about finding anyone else. It didn't feel right to him. It didn't feel right to him as he didn't want anyone else to touch her in that way. He didn't want anyone to kiss her. To hold her while she cried. Laughed. Sang. Hell, truly anything as his heart felt complete with her by his side.

Raven remained in a deep slumber, nestled against Dean as he gently pulled her closer. In her dreams, she found herself reliving moments of joy shared with him, picturing a delightful date that filled her heart with warmth. The thought of confessing her feelings weighed heavily on her mind, especially after he had come to her rescue. Each passing moment only deepened her affection for him, leaving her torn between the desire to express her emotions and the uncertainty of how to articulate them. Despite the turmoil of the previous hours and the effects of the drugged water Ash had given her, Raven drifted peacefully through the night. She had braced herself for a restless evening, haunted by the fear of potential danger and memories of past assaults. Yet, wrapped in the safety of Dean's presence, she found solace in sleep, allowing her dreams to weave a tapestry of hope and longing, even as shadows of her past lingered in the corners of her mind.
