The Visit

Summary:

Kent returns to visit relatives in Mansfield Park with his own surprises.

Notes:

Here's a new series. I freely admit to wanting to do a fusion with Jane Austen's books. Finding a fandom to fuse with those books is easier said than done. Here's the Mansfield Park story, one of my favorite stories, I put my own twists on the story, and I'll be updating the tags as I go. I refuse to ruin the plot entirely.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Summary:

The Livingstons receive a letter.

Notes:

Here's the Mansfield Park story. Yup-Kent has the role of Fanny Price. The difference is that Kent actually get along with his family. And they love him. Well, the majority does. Ch 1 will have to wait a bit.

Chapter Text

Jane Austen universe;

The Regency Era, the period when Prince George IV became regent for his father that suffered from madness. A period when Napoleon is defeated for good. Architect John Nash is responsible for London's current look. Lord Byron's poetry is well known. Bean BrummellPrince George's best friend is a trendsetter. A young Queen Victoria, trapped with her oppressive mother, becomes the only legitimate heir.

The entire kingdom was on the edge of change. None of them were truly prepared for what that meant.

Alexei's bedroom, Providence Falconers estate;

Alexei and Kent had some alone time. The couple were cuddled in the Russian's bedroom. Kent was not supposed to be there, but he got good at sneaking out of his own bedchambers. He knew what floorboards creaked and what door hinges desperately needed oil.

"You need to stop sneaking out," Alexei lightly chastised.

"Never," Kent yawned. "I have two more hours until the sunrise. Now be quiet and sleep."

Alexei stifled a laugh.

Mansfield Park;

In Mansfield Park, the Livingston family got a letter. The Livingston family consisted of Arthur and Hailey and their children: 25 years old twins Edward and Sarah, sixteen years old Hunter, and ten years old Abigail. Hailey's siblingsMadison and Morgan, also there were there.

"Father and Mother, Kent wrote a letter." Abigail mentioned.

"Kent?" Arthur said, taking the letter. His eyes lit up as he read. "And he has a surprise?"

"Oh?" Edward and Sarah perked up. They loved having Kent around as he was closer to their age than the rest of their siblings. Several of Kent's cousins were also excited.

Hailey smiled, "I will put out the good linen. Oh, and we need to make a menu."

"What could the surprise be?" Hunter asked, not looking up from the book propped on his lap.

 Their guess was as good as any.
