Chapter Text
Ningaung sat at her desk considering her options. The U.A. students and teachers would need a tour guide or guides for when they get to the island. Beidou and Kazuha are both out of the question. They’re already going out of their way to bring the U.A. students and teachers here in between their other jobs. Most students will likely want nothing to do with them at least for now. She can only hope eventually both students will come around to each other.
Any of the archons were out as well. They had all made it clear that they intended to stay in their respective dorms with their students. The students were stressed by this situation. She’s sure students like Wanderer or Xiao wouldn’t be able to make the U.A. students feel welcome. Keqing and Ganyu are busy with their student council duties and their courses during this situation.
It is then she decides it’s time to put out a commission to the Adventurer’s guild. She’d want this to be willing and not forced on the students and the Adventurer’s guild would be the most likely able to find willing volunteers. This way she’d also be able to provide a Mora reward along with the extra credit for their world culture classes that she was already planning.
She began filling out the online request form. It’s not really a hard form to fill out. The Adventurer's guild only asks for the name of commissioner, in this case it would be ‘Teyvat Academy’, Title for the commission, description of commission, and the reward expected upon completion. She made sure to put in the description that this was a job only for Academy students. Soon there'll be a commission hanging on the Adventurer’s Guild’s wall titled ‘Tour of Teyvat’.
Though it would be nice to have a backup plan just in case. Her eyes immediately fall onto a pair of student files clipped together. They both recently came in from Japan together. They are quite literally inseparable. They aren’t the most socially aware duo but they could better understand and tolerate the underlying prejudice of the outside world. Though admittedly one of them is a wild card. The stack of disciplinary reports clipped under the pair is a testament to that. The other one should be able to keep her in check… mostly at least.
There’s also the thought of calling in a favor from a certain pair of twins. They were in the same boat as most of the Natlan students at the moment though in that they are still recovering from the abyss invasion. They on top of that are also preparing to finish off the abyss with the Pyro archon. While it might be a good distraction for them it could also end up just adding to their stress.
If all else fails there’s always the option of doing the tour herself. It may not be the same as if it was a peer doing it but if none of the other options are able and willing then it is what she’ll have to go with. Her eyes land on a vase in her office reminding her of another reason why it wouldn’t be optimal. While she and Beidou often communicate through email and text messages, it is rare for them to be able to see each other in person for very long. Beidou’s expeditions are long and tend to be back to back and she herself has to stay in Liyue as both Tainquan and vice principal of Teyvat Academy. She’d prefer to be able to spend what little time Beidou has in the harbor with her but depending on how things go it may be necessary.
