Galadriel saw him at her brother’s funeral. It wasn’t the very first time she saw him, but it was the first time she saw him clearly—truly, for what he was. Who he was to her.
A cigarette between his fingers, cloud-shaped smoke that came out of his mouth, and the twinkling of his eyes as she stared curiously at him. Her mother mustering something about, “Have some manners, Galadriel, he’s your uncle,” scolding her for not greeting this uncle she never even knew the existence of until today, a hint of cruelty on his smirk and Galadriel’s inside twisting at the sight of it.
Or; Galadriel’s mother has a half-brother. She didn’t remember a single thing about him. It didn’t help that he seemed to know everything about her.
