Meet these two senior high school students namely Naberius Kalego and Balam Shichiro, the most popular duo in their neighborhood. They are best of friends and no one can ever separate one from the other. How is that even possible?
Well, that's because there is a red string of fate attached to each other's pinky fingers, messily knotted.
And with that, they are truly connected—which they thought it's just a normal thing.
They both have literally messy lives... yet still together.
Until one day, as they're about to go home, a sudden intrusion of a suspicious person successfully snatched Kalego's bag. Enraged, Kalego chased the red-haired thief.
They both ran and then eventually got lost in the dark alley. After hours, Balam told Kalego to just file a report to the police because it's getting late and they might have a harder time to chase down the thief at this point.
Kalego was reluctant at first, but it made sense. It really is hard to chase in this dark place, at this time.
“Fine, let's go to the—” Ah! It's the thief again! “—AH! YOU!!!”
“Stop, you darn thief!” Kalego growled and sprinted again to chase the running figure. It was running so fast that Balam could barely catch up. Luckily, his best friend was the most agile and fastest runner in their school and was able to grab the thief's arm.
“Kalego—” he paused when he noticed something.
"Ah," his red string got out of the messy knot—like it was cut by an invisible scissors. “K-Kalego-kun! The string got—”
“Finally got you, you darn thief—Hey! Why's my string attached to you now?!”
