Chapter Text
Standing on the desiccated rubble of what was once a bustling cityscape was Cyn, staring at the destruction that the solver had wrought upon the planet Earth and the [NULL] that was still actively devouring the planet.
Looking down she says “Question. I wonder why she takes, so long to finish this one? She never takes her time, with any of the others. Head tilt.”
She looks at her conversation partner and says “Yes. I do know I could ask. but she would just, deflect. So what. Question. would be the point?”
“...” her conversation partner, the decapitated head of a human adult male did not respond to Cyn’s questions. Instead just staring wide eyed, horrified at the [NULL] consuming the planet.
“Sad expression. I liked it better when, big brother N was here.” she said without changing her facial expression at all opting instead to speak the changes aloud.
“Exasperation. Even if she takes her time, this world is almost gone now. Time to go to big brother N soon. Expectant. Maybe this time I can find some, interesting toys.” she states with a small smile on her face all throughout while staring at the head.
Hand glowing with the supernatural hexagon and three pointed tendrils of the solver symbol she telekinetically picks up the head and chucks it at the [NULL] without looking, “CALLBACK PING.” opting instead to send a ping looking for serial designation N.
The callback ping got a response on a far off planet the humans designated copper-9.
Getting the coordinates of N through the ping Cyn begins using the solver to transfer herself by warping the fabric of reality, resulting in something along the lines of a visual glitch in a video.

Uzi had just made it to the lair of the murder drones when she felt something ominous, like she was being watched. But looking around she saw nothing, save a yellow flash in the distance.
Having a bad feeling about the flash, she quickly hid behind one of the many snow mounds that are so abundant on copper-9 considering the nuclear winter death storm that has been covering the planet since the core collapse.
Near her feet was a semi-clean shard of metal which after a quick rub on Uzi’s black jacket bearing the mark of an empty battery with crossbones behind it, made it be reflective enough for her optics to make out what was happening.
Using the shard to look over the snow mound Uzi at first, thought it was one of the murder drones as evidenced by their iconic yellow eyes and silver hair. But there was something wrong with that suggestion, the drone out there was too short and didn’t at all look like Uzi’s imagining of a murder bot. Where were the claws? The tail? The wings?
After all, besides the glowing yellow eyes and silver hair those were the main descriptors of the murder drones.
Since Uzi was lost in thought she didn’t notice that the yellow eyes now trained on her position due to the reflection of her purple eyes through the makeshift mirror.
The sudden movement is what got her attention and stopped her inner monologue about whether this was some sort of trap to lure out any worker drone stupid brave enough to actually willingly go to the corpse spire of their murderers.
Seeing as this random drone already knows she’s there and hasn’t started transforming into some unholy monster of claws and fangs and, realizing that stealth is no longer an option, she decided to reveal herself hoping she doesn’t meet a swift, and oily end when she does.
Although she came out from behind her cover she had her sick as hell railgun (that didn’t work, yet) steadied in her hands ready to use it as a bluff or makeshift grenade if necessary.
“Uh, hey, whatcha doin 'all the way out here?” She really hoped that her nervousness wasn’t apparent to this other person.
“Friendly smile. I am looking for serial designation N. Question. do you know, his location?” Cyn responds while approaching Uzi at a constant pace.
Uzi takes a few steps back trying to keep this now admittedly very creepy person at a safe distance.
“Is, uh, is that like a name, or like, a title, or something?”
“Amused. That is his name, silly.” Cyn said with a growing smile on her face.
Uzi continued to walk backwards so as to keep Cyn at a safe distance however she needed to look behind her every so often to make sure she’s not about to trip or run into anything.
“So this, uh, serial designation N, right? what does he, uh, look like?” Uzi asks while checking behind her and as she does she notices an arm sticking out of the ground. ‘Close one.’
“Hm, Answer. tall, silver hair, and, yellow eyes.” Cyn, moving forward doesn’t have to worry about looking for tripping hazards thus allowing her to move faster than Uzi encroaching upon the distance that she is trying to put between them.
“Oh, that uh, sounds a lot like the uh, murder, drones?” Uzi said more as a question to Cyn than anything else and quickly looks behind herself noticing now, a large shadow overtaking the surroundings.
Out of her peripherals Uzi notices the giant spire of corpses and realizes that this mystery bot has been slowly circling her, herding her, and Uzi trying to get away had allowed herself to be walking right into the gaping maw that is the entrance to the murder drones lair.
“Question. what is, your name? Head tilt.” Cyn continued to crowd Uzi towards the spire.
Uzi, now seeing that this is a trap, turns toward the spire and starts running hoping to be able to find the part she needs so her sick ass railgun (that doesn’t work yet) will work without blowing half her face off.
Cyn, seeing this, puts a frown on her face with her hands and states “Annoyed expression. when someone asks a question. Dramatic pause.” Cyn then teleports directly in front of Uzi “You are supposed to answer.” Cyn says in a lower pitch than usual.
With Cyn now in front of her Uzi is at a loss at what to do. Considering her apparent foe can supposedly teleport, which she totally doesn’t find sick as hell, she scans the surrounding area expecting to find one of the murder drones, instead she finds a glowing green power cell right by her feet.
With a small smirk and eyes hollow from fear and expectation Uzi replies to Cyn “aren’t you supposed to introduce yourself first?” And subtly takes off the old power source on her gun.
“Hm, Statement accepted. Response. my designation is Cyn, pleased to meet you.” She says as she puts a smile back on her face, holding out a hand.
In the short moment Cyn is distracted adjusting her facial features Uzi grabs the core from the ground and slots it into the gun. Doing a sick ass twirl with the now fully functioning definitely won't explode in her face weapon she utters three words.
“Uzi. Bite me.”
And fires.
