Chapter Text
All day Rui was fiddling with his hair, whether it was pushing it behind his ears trying to pull it up up and away, nothing seemed to work. Whenever he pushed the hair behind his ear the next layer would decide it was its time to shine and when he put his hair up it'd hurt him to no end. When he blinked he could feel the hair pulling.
He sat in class, impatiently waiting for the final bell to ring, maybe Tsukasa could fix this. He somehow knew everything he didn't and vice versa.
When the final bell rang he quickly grabbed his bag and ran to Tsukasa's last class.
"Hello Tsukasa-kun!" He waved at him through the doorway. Tsukasa was still packing, as usual.
"Rui!" He quickly finished packing and waved back.
"So? Any plans for today?" He asked, hoping he had none.
"Oh, yes! Saki's friends are coming over and our parents aren't home, Saki asked me to make dinner! And of course as the number 1 brother I couldn't ever say no!"
"Oh…" Rui shriveled into himself, "never mind then."
"Huh? What's wrong?" Tsukasa tried to look the director in the face, even when he was looking down, "I-I can do whatever after the fact! What did you want to do?"
Rui shook his head, "it's fine, I have stuff to do at home anyways. I can wait for another day," he tried to smile to hopefully have Tsukasa believe he's fine.
Tsukasa, in response, did not think he was fine, "Rui! What's wrong!?"
Rui shook his head, "it's stupid…- aw shit not again," he grabbed a piece of hair that had fallen out of his ponytail from him shaking his head.
Tsukasa tilted his head in confusion, "huh?"
"It's nothing, really."
Tsukasa took a deep breath, "fine, but if you want me over after 6, just let me know! I'll be over there in no time!"
