Give me something

Summary:

Han Sooyoung realises there's something very wrong in the Kim Com household. There is a distinct lack of Dokja.

What she doesn't want to admit is it doesn't feel like home without a certain squid bastards scent.

Work Text:

It was a peaceful mid-day, the kids were out hunting with Lee Hyunsung and Lee Seolhwa while Yoo Sangah and Jung Hewon where taking a dungeon together(Han Sooyoung isn't jealous at all).

A woman with a short, black bob stretched across a black couch, feet unable to touch the other arm due to its length - she's not short, you are.

The sun peered through the window at just the right angle to warm up her nap spot. She wrapped one arm around her head and buried her face into it, blocking the blinding glare of the sun that maneuvered its way into her closed eyes.

Taking a deep breath, the lingering smells of her family ran through her body, a sense of safety infinitely better than her mother's embrace encompassing her.

This was perfect.

CRASH!

This was fine.

Her utopia would've been perfect, if not for the personified brick wall and the puppy poster tacked onto it that tries to make it seem less intimidating upstairs.

Han Sooyoung turned to face the couch, not even opening her eyes as she crawled deeper into her relaxed state. Well, that's what she tried to do.

"Sooyoung?" A pitter-patter of footsteps stopped on the last step.

Han Sooyoung grunted.

A nervous chuckled sounded from above her head, "How mad would you be if I told yo—"

"100,000 coins."

"Huh? I don't have that kind of mone—"

"100,000 coins and I won't be mad. 150,000 and I won't tell the others whatever you did." She cracked one eye open to look at Kim Dokjas stunned expression before it turned convicted.

"Deal."

Incarnation Kim Dokja sent 150,000 coins to Incarnation Han Sooyoung.

Damn it, should've asked for more.

Sooyoung shuffled so she faced the ceiling again, seeing the squidy bastard smile at her frown. She scoffed, "What did you even break?"

"Nothing Joonghuyk and I can't fix. I'm going to go help him out."

As he turned to leave, Han Sooyoungs expression lit up.

She knew what she wanted as extra payment. Grabbing the man-of-the-hours wrist, she smirked.

"One more thing, and then I'll stay quiet."

Kim Dokjas eyebrows scrunched up as he half glared half grimaced at the woman. "What?"

"Do something about your smell."

The man squinted, brought his sleeve up to his nose, sniffed, and the squinted further. "I don't smell."

Sooyoung rocketed upright, like a springboard was attached to her back, shouting, "Exactly!"

"I..." Dokja raised a hand to cradle his chin - seeming to think it over before tilting his head to the side - stumped, "don't follow."

Han Sooyoung grunted as she rolled her eyes, grabbing the end of Kim Dokja coat before searching for a whiff of his scent.A faint smell of artificial strawberries caressed her nose. She snarled.

"Damn it! Even you don't smell like you!" She let go of the coat and massaged her forehead. Kim Dokja awkwardly stood to the side, inching slowly towards the steps.

"The only time I ever smell you," she dropped her hand to glare at him, "is on that stone faced bastard."

She stood up from the couch, grabbing Kim Dokja by his coat lapels, and shook him. "Even then, it's still not that strong! You're an alpha damn it! Does it make sense that my scent is stronger when I'm a beta?"

Kim Dokja raised his hands, silently begging for mercy as he got rocked back and forth, getting whiplash. Sooyoung scoffed, chucking him onto the sofa she was previously snoozing on.

Dokja hit the couch with a heavy 'oomf' as Han Sooyoung crawled onto his lap, planting herself there. Reaching both hands around the man's neck, she dug the heels of her palms into each side of his neck, hitting his scent glands spot on.

The man beneath her snarled as his hands unconsciously shot up to grab her wrists, his blunt nails tried to rip her off of him. She responded with a growl of her own, continuing to massage his scent glands.

A faint hint of blood wafted through the air, they both seemed to realise where it was coming from at the same time. Sooyoung watched as Kim Dokja got a grip on his bearings, enough to let go of her and shyly look away, her blood beneath his nails.

Sooyoung cheered mentally as she was now unimpeded in her goal. The frown of Kim Dokja face slowly lifted as Han Sooyoung kept on teasing his glands, she swears she even heard him purr.

Eventually, the scent of blood was overpowered by a unfamiliar but desired one.

Finally, Han Sooyoung knew what this bastard actually smelled like.

It was crisp, but also soft and soothing. It was warm and filled everything around you, making sure the only thing you paid attention to was you and the smell.

It was ginger and lavender.

Kim Dokja seemed to wince as he caught wind of his own scent, however Sooyoung couldn't give two damns right now.

Plunging her head into his neck, she mourned her past self, groaning loudly in Dokja ear. "Damn it, I can believe you've been holding out on us. Why the hell wouldn't you flaunt this?"

Kim Dokja shuffled underneath her trying to escape her invading nose, Han Sooyoung just clamped down on him harder.

"Nu-uh, we're staying here until I say so." There was a certain undeniable sternness in her tone, "And you're going to give me something scented."

Kim Dokja sweat dropped, "I don't think that's a goo-"

The woman slapped her hand over his mouth, simultaneously biting down on his jugular, a muffled, "Shut up already!"

Dokja layed like dead fish as Han Sooyoung kept her grip tight, after a few minutes her hold was lightened before being released completely.

Listening closely, Sooyoungs shallow breaths soon made the situation clear, she fell asleep.

Internally crying in relief, Dokja stopped producing his scent and started to carefully slip from her grasp. The unconscious woman, seemingly understanding his intentions, swung her arms around his neck and legs around his waist - latching on like a koala.

He groaned before collapsing back on the couch, surrendering his personal space to her.

He waited, and waited...and waited.

With nothing grabbing his attention, his exhaustion quickly caught up to him.

Eyelids as heavy as anvils and a personal electric blanket, Kim Dokja was losing the war of sleep. The edges of his vision became static-y and black spots danced across his sight, painfully slowly, his eyes finally closed.

In his last moments, he swore a hand stroked his head and that he heard the chuckled of his life-and-death companion, his partner, his everything.

"Goodnight you two."

Notes:

Alright, low-key love what I made here.

I don't ship them together, my vote goes to KDJ x YJH but Han Sooyoung is a great character and the dynamic she shares with KDJ isn't re-creatable with anyone else in the orv cast.

And cuddles r good. I'm in the mood for cuddles, can you tell?

PS. The crash was KDJ and YJH breaking a window when YJH tried to toss out KDJ's horrible kids shampoo. He too wanted kdjs original smell.
