I am still in shock at the number of kudos this is getting. Especially considering I haven’t been updating at all (I’m so sorry btw.) I know I’m writing an actual story but I am very bad with words so please know that all the emojis you guys see on these notes represent all the virtual love I’m sending your way.

Chapter Text

Hiragi’s stomach hurt.

But then again when did it not. Especially when it involved the infamous Class 1-1.

He had just finished helping an old lady unload her groceries when Anzai came running towards him and led him to the scene. By the time he got there there were a good amount of bodies scattered across the alley.

This wasn’t really that surprising considering it was Sakura, Suo and Nirei, Class 1-1 infamous trio, that handled the situation.

What caught his eye though was Sakura. Hiragi may have only known the first year for a short while but that didn’t stop him from being able to read the kid.

Heck, he wouldn’t be surprised if the whole town understood the kid, with the way he holds his heart on his sleeve.

Normally Sakura would stay a few steps away from the group. Probably having to do with the fact that he can't handle praises very well after helping out. But as Hiragi turned to look at him he realized he was at a much wider distance from the team. He couldn’t see much from where he was standing but he noticed how the kid had his back towards the rest of the class and seemed to hunch down, as if trying to make himself smaller.

“Hey what’s wrong with Sakura.” Hiragi asked the class.

“Oh Sakura,” Answered Nirei. “We’re not really sure, nothing out of the ordinary really happened. We saw these guys breaking the windows so Suo and Sakura were fighting them off and then Tsugera and Kiryu came to help. After fighting the guys off I noticed how Sakura was tightly holding his jacket and seemed to be shaking. But whenever any of us tried to get close he would jump and distance himself while telling us to back off.”

“Kind of like a cat.” Added Suo with his signature smile.

Hiragi gave the eyepatched kid a tired look before turning back to Sakura.

He knew Sakura was a good fighter but even the best fighters make mistakes and can end up hurt. By the way Sakura was hunched over himself it seemed likely that he could have gotten hit in his rib cage, which can be quiet painful.

And knowing Sakura, the kid would probably just brush it off as a minor injury and go on with his day.

Hiragi let out a tired sigh before making his way towards said kid. Quickly munching on some of his medicine for the soon to be expected stomach ache.

“Oi, Sakura!”

Just as Nirei had described Sakura jumped up before taking a few steps away from him holding his jacket tightly, his face was bright red for some reason. “What?” He yelled at him.

After recovering from the sudden reaction Hiragi gave Sakura his most tired look before talking. “Listen I don’t really care what you do but if you are going to go around defending the town the least you could do is take care of yourself.” He noticed the way his eyes widened but continued talking. “You should always check for any injuries after every fight. And not just from your classmates but from you too.”

Sakura stared at him for a couple of seconds and Hiragi could practically see the gears turning in his head, for the wrong reason.

“Injured…” He started, before his eyes immediately widened. “Oh, yes! I, uh, got kicked in my chest- RIBS! I got hit in the ribs! I’m gonna go back to Furin to patch myself up. BYE!”

Hiragi didn’t even get a chance to respond before he saw Sakura dash away down the street back to Furrin.

He stood there speechless for a solid ten seconds. And he wasn’t the only one.

“Did Sakura just admit he was hurt?” Wondered Kiryu, breaking the silence.

“Not only that, but he said he was going to take care of himself.” Continued Tsugeura. “Normally we have chase him all over town and drag him to school to patch him up.”

“Oh no,” Said Nirei. “Sakura… GOT BRAIN DAMAGE. HE PROBABLY GOT HIT IN THE HEAD. THAT’S WHY HE’S ACTING ALL WEIRD. SOMEONE MUST HAVE PUNCHED OR KICKED HIM! DID YOU GUYS SEE HIM GET HIT? WAS THERE BLOOD ON HIS HEAD?”

“Calm down Nirei.” Said Suo. “I’m sure Sakura’s fine.”

“B-b-but…” Nirei stuttered.

“If it makes you feel better, why don’t we follow him? I highly doubt Sakura is going to heal himself.”

His response was answered with multiple short laughs from class 1-1. Hiragi just rolled his eyes. He swore the kid was going to be the death of him if not Umemiya.

“That way we can figure out what he’s up to and patch him up.” Finished Suo with his signature smile.

“Mind if we join?” Asked Kiryu. “I’m pretty sure Anzai and the others can take care of this.”

“Me too!” Yelled Tsugeura “We need to be virtuous and help our captain.”

Hiragi watched the group leave the scene as they headed towards the school. He popped in one more pill in his mouth before turning around and starting to help up with the mess.

He was glad Sakura had really great friends.

Sakura’s face was still red even as she got back to Furin. Earlier in the fight she must have miscalculated something. She was just doing what she usually does when fighting, but just when she landed a satisfying Ariel kick on the guy's head she heard a horrible noise.

RIIIIPPPP!!

Before she could even react the bandages protecting her chest snapped and her face turned an ugly red.

She immediately distanced herself a good ten feet from the rest of the group as they finished up the fight. And thanks to her lame excuse she was now running around the empty halls of Furim looking for bandages.

“Come on, come on. There!”

Finally she found a small storage room filled with first aid kits. (She always forgot where they were.) She quickly took one and after making sure it had bandages in it, she made her way towards the nearest empty classroom.

Which happened to be Class 1-1.

She walked in and dropped the kit on the floor. She looked around the empty room as her face went red, again. But she didn’t have much of a choice.

She quietly sat down and took off her jacket along with her shirt. She looked at her ripped bandages covering her chest before she started taking them off.

Throwing them to the side she reached towards the kit and pulled out some fresh bandages for her to use. She wasn’t exactly flat, she was a girl after all, but thankfully she was on the smaller side.

Taking a deep breath she quickly started wrapping the cloth around her upper body. She was just about done when she heard a horrible noise for the second time that day.

Someone opened the door.

All the color drained from Sakura’s face as she slowly turned around to see who was at the door.

She froze in place as she made eye contact with both Suo and Nirei who were standing by the door standing very still.

The stare down lasted for a good ten seconds before Sakura’s body started trembling and her whole face went a horrible red. “Yo-you-.” She was pretty sure her whole body was red and the fact that she could barely speak only made everything so much worse. And next thing she knew all her pent up anger and embarrassment at the situation just burst through.

“PERVERT!” Her hand reached for something, anything. She’s pretty sure she grabbed her shoes and blindingly threw them at the door. She kept her back towards the door and tried her best to get her breathing under control.

Sakura heard Nirei’s scream and the door getting shut down aggressively and with no sound left to fill the room Sakura was left alone with her thoughts.

Suo found himself in one of those very rare moments where he was truly surprised. What wasn’t surprising, however, was that Sakura was involved.

This wasn’t in any way odd. Ever since Sakura came to Makochi he has been turning heads and surprising everyone with both his character and actions, Suo included.

After only knowing Sakura for a day, Suo realized two things. One, Sakura was way too easy to tease. And two, he was hiding something.

And Suo found himself very intrigued in finding out what exactly that was.

That thought however slowly became less of a priority. Maybe it was because of all the events that circled around his group of friends or maybe he got too distracted teasing Sakura or just enjoying himself. But the thought slowly went to the back of his mind.

He was still curious about exactly what his captain was hiding, but for the moment he wasn’t in any rush to find the answer.

He did however get his answer, in probably the worst way possible.

Which is how he found himself in his current position. Back against the door, smile gone, eye wide in surprise and the slight bit of pink dusting his cheeks.

He felt a hand grab his ankle and looked down to see Nirei in a much worse state than him. His poor friend was trembling so much Suo doubted he could stand and his face was bright red from both embarrassment and pain. One of Sakura’s shoes managed to hit him right in the jaw.

“Su-suo?” He stuttered. “Did- did we just… Sakura?”

Before he could try and help his friend, he was interrupted by two voices coming from the end of the hall.

“Hey you two!” Yelled Tsugeura. “We found the first aid kit!”

Him and Kiryu walked over to them but stopped once they noticed his and Nirei’s expressions.

Kiryu gave them a curious look. “Is everything-”

“Shhhhhhhh!” Nirei didn’t give the two the chance to speak and quickly dragged all three of them away from the door to Class 1-1.

“Wou, Nirei what’s wrong?” Asked Tsugeura.

They all watched Nirei attempt to explain the situation but the boy was trembling and stuttering too much for any of them to understand a word he said.

“Nirei, try to breathe, okay?” Said Kiryu, extending his hands to Nirei. “What exactly happened-.”

BAAAAMMM!

All heads turned at the sudden noise and found the door to class being aggressively kicked open by Sakura who was standing in the middle of the hall right in front of them.

Suo didn’t fail to notice that Sakura was still beat red and trembling slightly with quick short breaths.

After seeing them Sakura didn’t even waste a second and immediately ran the other way screaming.

“Sakura!” Suo called out.

“Quick, we can't let Sakura get away!” Nirei yelled, pushing all of them down the hall. Not that he needed to push Suo, he was already running after his runaway friend. His other two friends however were still very much confused.

“What is happening?” Yelled Kiryu as he caught up to him.

“We’ll explain later.” Suo told him. “But right now, we have to get to Sakura.”

Notes:

I know that a lot of people were expecting that Suo would already know Sakura’s secret but to quote the iconic disney villain of Hercules “He’s a guy!”
(Hades is such an icon!)
Also Sakura was putting a lot of effort in keeping this a secret and I feel that although Suo would know she was hiding something he still wouldn’t know what that was.
Anyways that’s my take on it.
Hope you enjoy and hope to see you in the next one.
