Chapter 1: ONE MORE DAY OF FUN

Chapter Text

Ever since June, Charlie Brown, Frieda, Linus, Eudora, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Franklin, Claudia, Skylar, Snoopy, Woodstock, Gracie, and Franco before he went back to Sparkyville, along with Krissy and Red, had been in Australia for much of the summer visiting Claudia and Krissy cousins Jadan and Joey. They got to meet Jadan's friends, boyfriend Andrew, Zac, and Claire Montana, as well as meeting Joey's potential new girlfriend Gini Rowan. They also had a brief reunion with their friend from Hawaii Danny A'oi when he was there for a surfing contest. There was a brief hiccup in the trip when Franco and Zac came to blows over Peppermint Patty, which led to Patty and Zac briefly hooking up causing Franco to go home early. And then there was the situation with the kangaroo poachers. While they successfully freed the kangaroos from their clutches, after a double-cross from Claire Montana's boyfriend Vincent, Joey got kidnapped and held for ransom by the same poachers, Luckily, with help from Hops, Snoopy, and Gracie, Joey was able to escape, and the poachers arrested. The aboriginals they had forced in helping them was freed and released back to their tribes.

This particular day was the final day the gang would be in Australia. They decided to do something fun for their last full day Down Under. They all went back to the amusement park, this time with Peppermint Patty and Zac joining them. They all rode the rides and played the games. Charlie Brown won Frieda another stuffed animal. Jadan promised that her folks would ship both to her so she wouldn't have to go through customs with big stuffed animals. After the park, they hit up Nick's Pizza Parlor, where Jadan and Frieda sang to some songs again for the crowd, who enjoyed their performances again. This time around, Joey sat out trying to sing, remembering what had happened to him last time, opting to enjoy the performance, holding hands with Gini. It was a great way to end an adventurous trip.

Later that night, Charlie Brown was watching as Snoopy was packing all of his stuff. He still brought his whole life on trips, as he usually did, but by now, rather than question it, he just let Snoopy do his thing. Linus came out and joined his best friend.

"How are you doing, Charlie Brown?" he asked.

"Pretty good, Linus," Charlie Brown replied. "I actually had a good time here. Aside from what happened with Franco and Zac, and Joey getting kidnapped by the poachers, this has been a pretty good trip."

"Yeah, it's going to be great to sleep in our own beds again, though."

"I know that's right!" Linus handed Charlie Brown a bottle of root beer. Frieda and Eudora joined their boyfriends.

"Hey, you two," said Frieda. She kissed Charlie Brown, and Eudora did the same with Linus. "Whatcha doing?"

"Just reflecting on the fun time we had here," said Charlie Brown. "Even with some drama, it was still a good trip."

"It sure was, Charles," agreed Eudora. "Maybe there won't be any more poachers trying to kill off kangaroos illegally."

"There still will be more, unfortunately." Jadan had joined the group. Andrew had just left to head back home. "But as long as we remain diligent, we will stop those poachers as well."

"Maybe the Australian authorities will continue to watch out for more poachers, as well," said Linus.

"An' y' best believe, Claire an' I will be watchin' for any more o' those bloody creeps!" Jadan replied.

"We believe you, Jadan," said Frieda. And the five of them continued to watch as Snoopy, Gracie, and Woodstock prepared for the long trip home.
