Summary
After spending seven nights lost at sea, two young maidens find themselves delivered by the Stars to the sleepy town of Thrushbird, and seeking shelter in the little tavern along its shore. Quickly, one finds herself falling in love with the tavern’s ill-tempered cook, and the other, his horse-thief of a son; soon, though, they realize that their fates are not as decided as they’d once thought, and the tavern walls, no safer than the wild sea.
