Chapter Text
Yuuri loved his life, don't get it wrong! He was extremely happy that he got to work with kids everyday and teach the younger generation. Being a kindergarten teacher is a dream come true. However, there is one child that is making him reconsider everything he’s ever thought about children.
Yuri Plisetsky. The worst children he’s ever encountered, that demon has something against him! Maybe It’s because of their similar names? Whatever it is, that child hated him as soon as he set eyes on him. Yuuri tries his best to include Yuri in all the activities but he always complains that It’s “too childish!” He needs a vacation.
The other children dubbing Yuri “Yurio!” because their names are too similar definitely didn’t help his anger towards him, the piggy nicknames rose as the Yurio nicknames rose.
Normally Yuuri doesn't see the children before they get picked up by their parent’s, usually they leave him to clean up the messes (looking more like a hurricane blew through than just some kids) Today though some idiot- naive child who didn’t know better, pulled the fire alarm which meant everyone had to go before they finished class.
Which now where Yuuri finds himself, waiting for the parents outside in his uniform and even though it’s getting into winter they haven't given him his winter uniform yet because they’re assholes! So he’s freezing outside with a bunch of crying and confused kids. Paradise.
The only light he saw at the end of the tunnel was the roaring sounds of the cars approaching, parents coming, Yuuri breathed out a sigh of relief, thinking about being able finally go back inside to the inviting heaters in his classroom.
He stood with his kids as the parents barreled out and crowded the parking lot, looking for their child. Yuuri was just about ready to head back inside when he saw the most beautiful man he’d ever seen, he had to remind himself there were kids around him as he tried to control himself as he realised the man was walking over here.
Normally Yuuri isn’t a fan of grey hair on men, reminds him of his grandpa and other old men but this guy, this guy was pulling it off so well it made him look younger! Yuuri never looked at fashion magazines but now he’ll have to just to catch a glimpse of this god among men.
While he was spacing out looking at the floor trying to will away his boner, very fancy shoes stopped in front of him, he looked up and was face to face with the handsome man he was admiring “hI..” Yuuri got ten times redder at his voice cracking like a teenage boy again.
The gorgeous man in front of him just chuckled a rich smooth laugh, it was music to Yuuri’s ears, “You must be Yuri’s teacher!” A Russian accent serenaded him, obviously since Yuri had a Russian accent his dad would too but, wow. It is different coming from a supermodel!
“A-Ah, y-yes Yuri is a.. Delight in the class!” Yuuri squeaks back, lying through his teeth obviously but he wouldn't exactly say that he’s a troublemaking demon straight to his pretty dads face.
The dad puts his hand on Yuuri’s shoulder as he smiles “I get that he’s trouble, don't worry!” Yuri started arguing with his dad but Yuuri could only focus on the fact they made contact! And that he was wearing a ring.. On his finger.. “Ah,” He turned back to Yuuri like he forgot that he existed while arguing, “the names Viktor by the way!” Then he walked off to his car with an angry blonde in tow.
Viktor. Wow.
That name swirled around in his mind the whole walk back to his classroom, infecting every corner of his mind, bouncing off every wall in there until it finally settled and he made peace with the fact that nobody that hot would be divorced and keep the ring, they have a kid for god's sake!
Just when Yuuri was ready to let the idea of ever getting together go, he heard the clicking shoes of the worst person who could’ve possibly come into the room, Phichit. Yuuri’s friend who constantly tries to ship him with guys, he’s the biggest gossip ever and is the worst for Yuuri’s mental state.
Phichit opened the door with no care to the dread and chaos in Yuuri’s mind, humming a tune he was teaching his class, somehow a mix between twinkle twinkle and baa baa black sheep? Phichit gets very carried away while teaching. He finally notices Yuuri as he relaxes at Yuuri’s desk, “Oh, Yuuri! There you are! I was looking all over for-.. What’s wrong?” He narrows his eyes, always able to read his friends' emotions scarily quickly.
“N-Nothing!” Yuuri quickly got out, finally turning to the mess of toys on the floor and starting to pick them up to try and distract from Phichit’s glare. “Just annoyed by the fire alarm, I had to stand outside in the cold.. P-parents were annoying.” Yuuri didn't even look at Phichit but he knew that set off his, as he would call it, ‘ship-o-metre’ curse his big mouth!
“You saw someone hot didn’t you?” His best friend’s flinch told him everything, “You have to tell me who! Was it someone from your classes dad?!” Yuuri offered him nothing by turning away whenever he tried to make eye contact, “Please you need to tell me!! I'm going to burst from curiosity and I promise I won't post about It on my Instagram… again.” Yuuri just gave a disbelieving stare to which he just gave a big smile.
Yuuri finally sighed and turned fully to him, with a great weight of dread to it he said “...Do you promise?” He nodded so much it looked like his head was about to fall off “Fine! Just, chill! It’s.. Viktor?”
The hamsters in Phichit brain were working overtime to try and remember who Viktor was, before he remembered the one time he was assigned to see the kids off, “THAT VIKTOR?! THE GREYING ONE?!” He sputtered as he jumped up off the chair.
“HE’S NOT GREY!” Yuuri yelled in defense of his tastes, “He isn't even old! He didn't even have any wrinkles!” He realised how weird that sounded but would not let him win this stupid debate. (even if they’re full grown adults now they still fight like children.)
“Just-” He turned away “Shut up, I know it will never happen. I'm not an idiot.” He snapped as he looked down soberly at the schedule he needed to clear for the next day, and the million other things he needed to start doing! He just wanted to cry though.
“Yuuri.. No, I'm sorry for taking this too far.” Phichit hugged him as he felt his shoulder dampen a bit, “You should go relax at home, I’ll clean up! I remember how you like it.” He smiled while tightening the hug a smidgen in reassurance.
He sniffled and returned the squeeze tighter “I love you.. Thank you” Phichit gave a nod as he started cleaning up. Yuuri picked up all his bags and headed to the door but stopped just before it, “You are the greatest friend ever.” He smiled with minimal tears leftover from his near breakdown and headed out the door to his warm car.
Traffic was a pain with kids getting out from school and being picked up slowing everything down but eventually he got home, he heard soft snoring at the door and instantly knew it would be slightly harder to get in than normal, because that means that his loving pooch is asleep at the door. His very big loving pooch that’s heavy.
He unlocked the door and just as he thought, moving the door forward was no use though it did confirm Vicchan was fast asleep at the door, but after many, many shoves of the door and yells of “Who wants treaties?!” Which was extremely embarrassing but thankfully nobody was in the hallway with him, he finally got in because that ball of fluff remembered that his owner didn't want to sleep outside.
He yawned as he unwinded onto his couch, wheezing a bit under his weight and wheezing even more when Vicchan jumped up too for an impromptu cuddle/falling asleep session, which took all the wind out of the already tired man with an “Umph!”
“You’re too big! You aren't a puppy anymore Vic!” He exclaimed while squirming under the pressure, finally squirming just enough to move to the other side of his shitty couch. The whine of the saddened dog drew him to the huge wet eyes staring into his soul, “Stop looking at me like that Vic…” An even louder whine rang through the apartment, “Oh shush you big baby! Will some treats calm you down?” He said as he pushed himself off the couch and into the small kitchen.
A very excited Vic followed him as he begged for evening treats, circling around Yuuri’s legs nearly tripping him multiple times. He looked in his fridge, mostly bare-bone except for a few things “I really need to go shopping again..” He muttered to himself as he gave a few treats to Vicchan.
To be honest he spent more on his dog than himself, his dog deserves it more anyways. Expensive things are for very very special occasions, don’t know if maybe meeting the love of your life counts as a special occasion? He’d reward himself with some soothing chamomile tea, thankfully the weekend is tomorrow so he can relax “Borf!” and walk his very cute dog.
After making the tea and settling Vic down, his head immediately hit his pillow and he fell fast asleep, dreaming of silver haired men enchanting him and giving him all the riches in the world. So obviously it quickly turned into a nightmare of his hot model wife finding them kissing and throwing Yuuri out forcing him onto the streets where he slowly dies… Yeah he has very vivid dreams and very imaginative story lines.
Yuuri awoke very groggily to singing birds right by his window (which would’ve been nice if he didn’t feel so tired) He moved to shut off his alarm, instead his hand suddenly felt very wet and gross which definitely woke him up, looking over he saw he had dipped his hand in his now freezing cold tea.
“...Fuck my life.” He groaned as he dragged himself to the bathroom to wash his sticky hand, brushing his teeth and splashing water onto his face as he went to wake up Vicchan for a morning walk “Walkies?” He got an excited “Borf!” As he started getting dressed, looking at the weather it’d be a cold one.
Armed with poo bags, Vicchans harness, leash and multiple layers of clothing he ventured out of his warm apartment and into the cold, cold outside. He headed down to the park with a few complications (birds and other dogs) As he finally made it there, he put on his music and followed where Vicchan took him.
Viktor woke up like he always did, being woken up by his lovely birds singing their tunes, he yawned as he looked up at his four poster bed draped with translucent silk, he took his robe off his nightstand and put it over himself as he went over to his bathroom to do his daily duties.
After he finished his freshening up he walked over to the elevated doggy bed that his dog was lazily lounging around on, “You get so excited when you go outside but you’re so lazy now!” At the mention of outside Makkachins head did perk up and his tail started a slow wag as he stretched.
“Ah, that woke you up!” Viktor said as he rolled his eyes, starting to get dressed and getting all his equipment ready. He knocked on Yuri’s door as he went past “I’m going to take Makkachin on a walk! Wanna come?” To which a loud groan sounded from behind the keep out sign “I’ll take that as a no!” Viktor laughed as he walked to his usual park.
The cold morning air hit Viktor as he pulled his warm scarf around his neck, shivering a bit even with his many layers, he put some music in as he started his journey around the park. He could still hear the tweeting of loving birds (or fighting birds) He can never really tell the difference.
Makkachin was feeling very energetic after all that lovely resting he was doing, Vicchan was also feeling very energetic after not having anything to do all day. So of course two energetic dogs would spell chaos.
At first Yuuri felt a wagging tail whacking against his thigh, assuming it was another squirrel or bird sighting he just sighed and turned his volume up, though that was his first mistake as Vicchan shot off like a comet towards the other poodle he saw.
Makkachin bounded towards the other poodle fastly approaching, seeming to communicate telepathically that today was the day of chaos causing, both of the men were dragged behind the rampaging beasts yelling for them to stop and trying to dig their feet into the dirt to stop.
When the dogs finally met up they pulled Viktor and Yuuri face to face, circling them as they started playing, but Yuuri was so lost in his eyes he didn’t notice the slowly enclosing circle “V-Viktor..” He started but got interrupted as he tried to take a step back and realised they were completely trapped and also leaning towards the very, very cold water that was very, very close to them.
Yuuri let out a small “oh no..” Before they plunged into the freezing pond, their dogs somehow avoided the same fate as they watched on from the side of the pond, Yuuri and Viktor coughed and shivered as they moved out of the pond, drenched.”V-Viktor, i'm so sorry! I-I don’t know why Vicchan would suddenly run off like that!” He chattered out, a small sneeze following.
Viktor just looked down at him sympathetically, “It’s also my fault дорогой!” Yuuri melted at the Russian coming from his lips, even if he couldn’t understand what it was he said, “I think both our dogs got just a bit excited, are you.. Alright? You could come back to my place, it’s close and you can have some of my clothes to warm up!” Yuuri knew his place was close but with the way that Viktor was talking so excitedly and the fact that VIKTOR INVITED HIM TO HIS PLACE. He decided against saying no to this beautiful man.
“S-sure!” He sneezed out “Warmth sounds w-wonderful right now..” Yuuri let Viktor pick him up, leaning against a very hot (albeit soggy) man of his dreams was the most amazing outcome that could’ve come from falling into a pond.
The culprits of this damp mess just happily walked next to them as they dragged themselves home. As they got to the neighbourhood Yuuri swore that he never even knew this place existed, tons of towering houses somehow looking into his bank account and judging, hard.
All of this wealthiness just made Yuuri cling on harder to Viktor which he did very much appreciate, now Viktor knows that having a huge crush on his son’s teacher is so cheesy and stupid, especially “someone for his status!” As his mother would say but he didn't really care. Yuuri is the most beautiful man he’s ever laid eyes on.
As they both got to the door, feeling the first drops of rain land on their heads, Viktor quickly opened the door and they both barreled into the inviting warmth. “Follow me, my bedroom is just up here.” Viktor smiled as he gestured to the biggest staircase Yuuri had ever seen, he tripped up the stairs which resulted in childish giggling and a very embarrassed Yuuri.
The butler looked at the two love birds, happy that his master finally had someone to joke around with, but not so happy that he now had to deal with two very soggy and very happy dogs, “You planned that didn’t you?” He scoffed, not with any malice.
As Yuri was looking through his playlists he heard giggling of his dad and his… TEACHER?! Who let that pig into his sacred home! He opened his door a crack just to peek and saw them both heading to his dad’s room. Was that pig seducing his father?! He couldn’t let that slide!
They both stood in the master bedroom, Viktor with clothes to give him and Yuuri feeling very awkward about having to take his clothes off. “Ah, right I will turn around for your undressing! Mine too.” So they stood opposite each other as they stripped down to boxers.
Which was the most incriminating thing ever for an already suspicious 6 year old to see.
It was the worst day of Yuri’s life, he saw his father being seduced by his demon teacher! His pure eyes had to look at the disgusting body of his teacher!
As Yuuri heard a soft but offended gasp coming from the doorway, he looked over and was suddenly locking eyes with his student and at the same time realised how bad this looked to any outsiders, “U-uhm Viktor! Yuri!” He panicked as he tried to cover himself up with the duvet near him.
Viktor looked over at the very panicked Yuuri and the very disgusted Yuri, “Ah! Uhm, hello Yuri! Lets go to your room, yes?” He ushered out Yuri with a bit more force than normal.
“No! I’m not letting you get seduced by the PIG!” Yuri tried to run back in the main bedroom only to be swiftly picked up by his father and thrown over his shoulder, he thrashed but he was not stronger than his father, after a while he just relaxed like a kitten being held up by the scruff of his neck. Resigned to his fate.
Yuuri watched as his student was dragged away, suddenly feeling so stupid for even thinking he could even try and infiltrate this family's peaceful life. Red with embarrassment he picked up his clothes and started getting dressed.
When Viktor got to Yuuri’s room, the “KEEP OUT” sign hanging loosely from the doorknob, “Yuri! You know we do not yell at our guests.” He said in a stern tone, while also thinking about how he was supposed to explain this to a 6 year old.
“He’s not a guest! He- he’s a fatty who's seducing you!!” He protested, his face puffing up into a pout, which would be cute to Viktor if he wasn't insulting someone he was trying to court.
“Yuri! That is not how we talk about people!” He scolded, “Now, go to your room young man!” Which got an indigent squawk from the offended kid, he eventually stormed off to his room and slammed the door.
‘I just wanted to protect you.’ Yuri thought as he curled up with his cat and tears started flowing out, he hated it.
“I’m sorry, you know kids are wil-..” Viktor was about to say before he realised nobody was there, his bedroom desolate and empty. Devoid of any evidence of the beautiful man that was there. It reminded him of one night stands where he tried to feel something. God he was pathetic.
He tried not to cry as he sat down onto the bed, when suddenly he felt something beside him. A blue pair of glasses, shappy with tape in the middle and quite scuffed but he recognised them, he softly smiled while a tear fell from his eye. But dried up when he realised ‘Wouldn’t Yuuri be blind without this?’
He started to smile at his.. Whatever’s stupidity. Wow. He loved Yuuri so much.
Shit.
