Work Text:

The sound of small quiet tapping filled her room as she wrote on her tablet, finally finishing up the homework she'd been procrastinating over. With a sigh, she set her stylus down, leaning back into her chair and closing her eyes. A small smile made onto her lips. It was late, very late. But for some reason she wasn't tired like she usually would be after staying up past midnight.

She hummed and looked to the side of her desk, spotting a small red creature sitting with her legs crossed, head bobbing up and down in an almost comical way as she fought exhaustion.

She felt a little bad for what she was going to ask. Only a little.

"Tikki, do you.. Wanna go out for a short midnight run?" The small god yawned and looked up at her chosen, smiling.

"Of course I would, Marinette!" She smiled back at her tiny friend and quickly grabbed a cookie from the plate beside her and let the Kwami eat to get her ready and a bit more energized before going out.

Sat on top of the Eiffel Tower, the corners of her lips quirked up, a sigh escaping past her lips as the wind gently brushed her hair out of her face.

She looked over the City of Lights and grinned. It was a sight she knew she would never get tired of, no matter how many times she saw it.

One building in particular caught her attention; Le Grand Paris, Mayor Bourgeois' hotel, and where a certain blonde lived.

Her heart fluttered at the thought of the girl and without thinking, her body started to move. Her hand grasped her yo-yo tightly, her legs bending as they readied for a jump, she threw her arm back and suddenly, she found herself swinging forwards, in the direction of the hotel.

Before she knew it, her feet had already planted themselves down unto the floor on the balcony of a familiar suite.

Usually, her steps were quiet and faint whenever she took a step, but for some reason, her strides felt heavy and audible tonight. The fact that most of the city was asleep didn't help, it was always too quiet sometimes when midnight passed.

Unknowingly, her hand reached up and knocked on the glass doors, startling the blonde inside. She couldn't even process what she had just done before the doors opened and a sapphire-eyed blonde walked out in cute Ladybug themed pyjamas, cocooned in a blanket. She felt her heart sing at the sight.

"Ladybug? Is there something wrong? Oh! Do you need me to be Queen Bee!?" Chloe grinned excitedly, obviously ecstatic at the thought of becoming a hero again. She felt a little guilty that that wasn't what she came here for. Only a little.

"Actually... I just.. Wanted to visit." The Bourgeois heiress deflated a bit before perking up again.

"Wait, you.. Just wanted to visit.. Me?" She felt her cheeks warm up before nodding, confirming Chloé's question. The smile returned on the blonde's lips and she felt herself return it. Until a cold breeze brushed past her and her face scrunched up into a grimace, shivering.

"Is it alright if I come in?"

"Oh! Yes!" She was quickly ushered in by the heiress and was dragged over to the fireplace. Sighing, she plopped herself down onto the sofa, leaning into the warmth of the fire.

Suddenly, a soft and silky blanket was draped over her form. She looked up to see Chloe giving her a shy look, something she didn't see often on the other girl. She smiled as the blonde looked away, nervously fiddling with her thumbs.

"Thanks Chlo..." A small part of her preened a little at the sight of the blonde turning as red as her suit, because of her. Okay, maybe not only a little...

"I- I co- do you-? Uhm-" Pride swelled up inside her as Chloé stuttered, because of her.

"Do I..?" She smirked, waiting for the heiress to continue, patient, but also soaking up the feeling of delight and pride at the fact that she was the reason that Chloé Bourgeios of all people was becoming a flustered and stuttering mess.

"DoyuwanmetucalupJenanasfrsumfingfryrkamisoyucanre-"

"Chlo, relax." She stopped herself from snickering.

"Sorry- I was just wondering- do you want me to call up Jean and ask for something for your Kwami so you can recharge or something... Pollen usually eats after I detransform so..."

"Can I ask for some cookies then?"

"Alright!" The blonde shuffled away, leaving the red-clad heroine by herself on the couch to process the short interaction.

She giggled and kicked her feet, legs not quite long enough to touch the floor and letting her do so. She closed her eyes and hummed a random tune in her head as she replayed the memory of Chloé blushing, because of her.

She found herself liking the thought of seeing the heiress blush more. Only a little.

Maybe not only a little.
