Chapter Text
Abraxas, holding Orion’s hands tightly, tried to offer as much comfort as possible despite his own worry. “You’re almost there, love. Just a bit more, and it will be over soon.”
The healer moved swiftly to manage the situation, preparing for the final stages of labor. “Stay focused on your breathing,” she instructed Orion. “You’re doing incredibly well. Just a little more effort, and we’ll have this baby.”
Orion, despite the overwhelming pain, tried to focus on the healer’s guidance and Abraxas’s comforting presence. The room was filled with a mix of urgency and supportive energy as they worked together to help Orion through this intense phase of labor.
Overwhelmed by the pressure and pain, Orion shifted uncomfortably, his voice strained. “It hurts so much! Make it stop!” he cried out in desperation.
The healer moved closer, her voice firm yet soothing. “Orion, it’s time to push with the contractions. It will help relieve some of the pressure.”
Abraxas, holding Orion’s hand tightly, offered words of encouragement. “You can do this, love. Just focus on pushing with each contraction. I’m right here with you.”
Orion, despite his intense discomfort, tried to follow the healer’s instructions. He braced himself as the next contraction began, pushing with all his strength while trying to manage the searing pain.
The healer continued to guide him through the process. “Push, Orion. You’re doing great. Just keep breathing and focus on the rhythm.”
With Abraxas’s support and the healer’s instructions, Orion worked through the contractions, his determination driving him as he made progress towards delivering the baby.
Abraxas stayed close, holding Orion’s hand firmly and speaking through each contraction. “You’re doing so well,” Abraxas said, his voice steady and reassuring. “Just a little longer. Push through this one; you’re so close.”
Orion, grimacing with each wave of pain, focused on Abraxas’s words. He pushed with all his remaining strength, taking deep breaths and trying to channel his energy into each push.
“You’re almost there,” Abraxas continued, his voice unwavering. “Keep going. You’re doing amazing. Just a bit more, and we’ll have our baby.”
The healer observed closely, guiding Orion as he pushed and providing necessary assistance. “You’re doing great, Orion. The baby is almost here. Keep pushing with each contraction.”
With Abraxas’s constant support and encouragement, Orion pushed through the pain, each contraction bringing him closer to the moment they had all been waiting for. The atmosphere in the room was filled with focused determination and unwavering support as they approached the final stages of labor.
Orion’s energy faltered, and he cried out, “I can’t do it anymore!” His resolve shattered by the overwhelming pain, he stopped pushing, his face wet with tears.
Abraxas, sensing Orion’s distress, leaned in close, his voice gentle but firm. “You’re so strong, love. You’re almost there. Just a little more, and we’ll have the baby. You can do this.”
The healer stepped in, her voice calm and encouraging. “Orion, I know it’s incredibly hard right now, but you’re so close to the finish line. You’ve already come so far. You just need to give it one last push with the next contraction.”
Orion looked up at Abraxas, his eyes pleading for strength. Abraxas squeezed his hand reassuringly. “I’m here with you. We’re going through this together. You’re doing amazing. Just one more push, and it will all be worth it.”
The healer and Abraxas worked together to offer Orion the support he needed, encouraging him to gather his strength and push through the final stage. With Abraxas’s comforting presence and the healer’s guidance, Orion prepared himself for one last effort to bring their baby into the world.
Orion mustered his remaining strength and gave one final push, his cry of relief echoing through the room. As he felt the baby finally being born, a profound wave of exhaustion washed over him.
Abraxas, his eyes brimming with tears of relief and pride, squeezed Orion’s hand gently. “You did it, love. You’re incredible.”
The healer quickly moved to tend to the baby, who was now in the world, while ensuring Orion’s well-being. “You did so well,” she said warmly. “The baby is healthy, and you’ve been amazing through this whole process.”
Orion, now completely spent, leaned back with a deep, contented sigh. The pain and effort of labor seemed to melt away, leaving behind a profound sense of relief and tiredness.
Abraxas gently brushed a damp strand of hair from Orion’s forehead. “You can rest now. You’ve earned it.”
As the healer cleaned and wrapped the baby, Abraxas remained by Orion’s side, offering comfort and support. The room, once filled with intense labor, now settled into a quieter, more peaceful atmosphere, marking the end of a challenging journey and the beginning of a new chapter for their family.
