When Harry was around five some strange man came to Privet Drive 4 and took him away. He wasn't really sad, Aunt, Uncle and Dudley weren't nice, saying and doing mean things to him.
Unbeknowst to him it caused a giant uproar in vixen community 6 years later, when his disappearance was discovered.
